| Just read on the pie's board that England Coach Steve McNamara is set to call up Willie Manu in his 40 man squad for the Tri Nations!
The man has lost the plot!

| I really like Willie Manu. I also really like bacon butties and heavy metal, but you don't see me calling these up to my England squad.

| Never mind Manu, what about the fact that McBanana doesn't have Leon Pryce in the best 40 players (I'd assume the other 3 players would be Widdop, Burgess and Ellis) eligible for England.
I applaud the culling of certain players at International level, (Wellens and Burrow spring to mind) but are people seriously suggesting that Paul Sykes, Tony Clubb, Kirk Yeaman and Danny McGuire (who has as many if not more failures than Pryce at international level) are better options than Leon Pryce and Martin Gleeson, who has been outstanding of late for Wigan, at national level?
Baffling. We'd better write this 4 nations off and hope to get a new man in for the next one. England's footballers will look like world beaters in comparison.

Perhaps he thought he was actually a Manc and his name is Willie Man U.
I have to say I've never been a fan of coaches that can't speak in sentences. Or coaches that can speak for 15 minutes all in one sentence i.e. Cullen.

| Pryce has been one of our best players this season, and should be in that squad. No doubt about it, thats a bit of a joke tbh.
I see no reason why we shouldn't pick Manu if hes eligible, everyone else does it. It doesn't mean i agree with it being done, but if Australia have done it and they have a much larger player pool, we can't afford not to really.

| The glaring omission for me is Joel Tomkins.
To have Manu, Wilkin or Sykes in before him seems strange on this seasons form.

I didn't notice he wasn't there, he should be there too along with Pryce. Especially when the likes of Ben Jones-Bishop and Tony Clubb are there!

Ain't sykes a back ?
I agree, how wilkin had made it is a joke, he ain't good enough at internatinal level and has even missed half the season.
Maybe he's left joel out to bring him down a peg or two, he seems to think he's better than he is IMO.

| This is a coach who has never achieved anything other than making Bradford even worse than they already where when the side had deteriorated under Noble. I said at the start of the season that they have one of the poorest squads in the league apart from four or so players, and I still stand by that.
Although J. Tomkins has a discipline problem, he has been left out for a player who has been injured for months and a 30 year old who has previously played for Tonga. I'd love to hear his reasoning behind that.
....... and then there is Paul Sykes, which simply goes beyond justification

I also heard Hemmings on Sky Commentary banging on the door for Pat Richards to play for England because he has been over here 5 years!

Well, why not? If we are going to let Manu in, why couldn't Richards do it? In fact, I could understand a player like that as we do not have an English winger as talented as him, unlike second row which is probably our strongest position.
McNamara has opened up a can of worms now, he has to make a choice as it could get ridiculous considering the foreign talent available in Super League.
However, I think Richards considers himself Australian Irish and I doubt that he would want to spit in the face of his parents, so I can't see it happening.

Nobody wants FORIEGN players playing for England wheather there Tongan, Soamon, Australian or Kiwi. I am a proud Englishman and I want to see 17 Englishman turnout for England in the Tri Nations. The way things are going young kids who are trying to make there way into the game are going to pack it in because they will be demoralised by seeing overseas players making the England Team. We have 40 English players playing Super League good enough to play without resorting to picking overseas players. Its a bloody insult to every player who doesnt get picked and further more its an insult to our country.

Yeah, Richards has said he would never play for GB, so you have to assume that applies to England as well.
As you say though, you could understand it if it was a position we were struggling in, however is in at the expense of Joel Tomkins who has (arguably) been the best second rower in the competition this year. Joke.
