Superb me thinks, never doubted it for a minute www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif" alt=" icon_wink.gif" title="Wink" />
I thought the team were superb again tonight. The word team is the key thing there. I thought the spirit the team displayed tonight was superb, it put the passion back in me.
/>
From Eastmond running straight for Morley and Carvell and leaving them both on the floor, then racing through to celebrate 'to' the Warrington fans to Jammer, KC and especially Sia Soliola giving it to their suposidly superior pack. One moment I particularly loved was Soliola's fist pumping with about 8 minutes to go when they knocked on near our line. Some massive hits from the boys too, Graham did a couple of massive hits and Soliola was crushing them like a Samoan wrecking ball. Him, Maurie, KC and Jammer were all superb, backed up nicely by Tony P and Bryn.
/>
I thought Warrington were lacking in creativity and ideas. Once bash, bash, bash failed to get through Cunningham, Graham, Tony P and Sia, they seemed deflated. Myler doesn't look like he could handle being the main half back, he's a backup merchant if there ever was one. I think for them it was an anti-climactic event. Their fans were there in superb numbers, but I've never heard a crowd so quiet. When we played Hull I could hear their chanting from just outside Morrison's car park. Tonight it took until the very end of Doulton Lane opposite the ground for them to be heard. Once it kicked off, they were almost silent, only sparking up once they came back into it with that spell in the second half. Not barmy enough their army is. Hull's fans are in another league to them.
Not quite the Saints of old but it's slowly getting better, very encouraging signs tonight. I've been Slick's most harsh critic, but there are signs of improvement, change in style but definitely improvement. He deserves the plaudits tonight.

As i told some wolves fans on there forum in the week, they are only 6 games into the season and not to get carried away. They are a good team but not as good as they think.
/>
As i have said all year, our full strength 17 is as good or even better than anyone in super league.

There were long, long periods of total silence tonight. Hull, despite not being able to see anything, kept going for almost the full 80. The only songs I heard were the one about Warrington being full of pu$ sies, one about Wembley once and Sh 1 t Helens a few times. You can do better.

I don't. But I do believe my eyes. I saw the match tonight and they are a better all-round team than they were last season. I'm glad we won, inspite of our best efforts to lose it at one point during the second half, but they were a sterner test this time out and had the ground been dry, they would have been even better given that they play expansive RL.

Quite loud where I was during pre-match and early in the first half ... you're right about the long periods of relative silence though, plenty of singing going on from the heavy mob but that noise doesn't carry across unless the whole lot of us are joining in and for a lot of the time we weren't ... think we were chatting amongst ourselves about why we simply don't ever seem to be able to carry form in to Knowsley Rd.
Weather may have played a part, but our inability to hold on to the ball lead to at least three of your tries tonight - simple lesson, don't respect possession, you won't win.
/>
Well played to saints though, you can only beat what's put in front of you and you did that quite convincingly, despite the aborted come-back in the second half.

Can all the giddy noisy neighbours now sit down and shut up?
One trophy does not a dynasty make.
/>
The difference tonight was a gamebreaking. matchwinning performance from Kyle Eastmond behind a dominant pack and a woefully inept display at fullback from 'There's only One' Richie Mathers. Wolfs come close again, but no cigar.

Natural order restored. Game over. End of. Get in you S men!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You looked better last year to be honest mate. I think Richie Myler is a poor signing and i aint all that keen on Ryan Atkins. The only game his looked good this year was when he was stuck on the wing.
/>
You shouldent of signed Myler. With Morans money he should of employed the whole Eastmond household.

Atkins was a poor signing. He never even stood out in an average Wakefield team.

Quote ="Loyal Saint"You looked better last year to be honest mate. I think Richie Myler is a poor signing and i aint all that keen on Ryan Atkins. The only game his looked good this year was when he was stuck on the wing. />
You shouldent of signed Myler. With Morans money he should of employed the whole Eastmond household.'" />
sorry your just plain wrong....and the league table says so.
/>
we were average at best in the league last year..we didn't make the 8...yes we had a brilliant run in the cup.
/>
this year we are solid in every position...and don't forget briers hasn't been playing....love him or hate him...he makes us tick..and to be winning games without him is a massive step forward.
/>
Atkins has been ok..he has made a few mistakes...but we have also seen some very good stuff from him...he will get better with TS guidance.
/>
Myler will also get better with time...he is quick and strong...and very good at supporting the man with the ball....to say he is a poor signing is just way over the top.

| Quote ="Saddened!"There were long, long periods of total silence tonight. Hull, despite not being able to see anything, kept going for almost the full 80. '"
The difference between those two is that Hull were winning from the start and Wire were losing from the start. There were periods of quiet last night, however when Wire got on that roll the noise was huge. Best Wire turnout I've seen ever. I was in the away end and it was almost impossible to see what was happening near that line at times.
