Same with the Leigh Salford game it was the roads etc nearby the reason that was called off too.

the game is a friendly and the council probably have bigger priorities for which roads to grit.

Wouldnt this game bring money into the towns coffers ie pubs/local school car parks.

To be fair the council have done a good job of keeping the main roads clear so we cant complain.

I had to go to Speke last week and there was a marked difference in the state of the roads after I left St.Helens.

If you could somehow have captured some of the hot air expelled on redvee over the topic and pointed it at the ice it would have been problem solved.

Yes, it's a nothing match and inconsequential
Yes, we're playing kids / reserves
Yes, you could spend your time and money on other things

But you know what, even if only 4k turn up, pay to get in, maybe buy a pint then the club will make enough to fund the salary of one of our younger players for next year. If that's too complex for you to understand all questions on a postcard. Get off your , pay your money and support the club you all so openly criticise in their attempt to remain competitive on the pitch.

Maybe open your one eye to see why most clubs do these types of things
