Apparantly there are some very talented youngsters playing for Saints at all levels.
Lee Gaskell is the obvious choice at u18 level. He is a stand off / centre who kicks 40/20s for fun. He as a great kicking game and running style similiar to Sam Tomkins (sme body physique aswell). From what i've heard he will be part of the first team next season.
Matt Fozzard and Dougie Charnock (new signings) look awesome in there first couple of sessions. Both u14 / u15 talents. Been described as the new Andy Farrell and Paul Sculthorpe (that was before we signed them).
Also i like the look of Josh Jones, he is a cente / winger that only turned 16 in April, yet his played in nearlly every game for our u18's this season. He was the captain of the England u15 team (not bad for a winger) and also scored 2 try's for the England u16's this year.
Anybody else impressed with any youngsters at the club ? i dont get to see all the games.
Whilst it's good that there are lads impressing within their age group, thyere is always a high attrition rate in terms of stepping up to first team rugby.
It is especially dangeorus to predict big things of 14 and 15 year olds in rugby league.
What we do need is an injection of pace and some backs who are'nt gaffe prone as well.
