I can't see Catalans beating Huddersfield next week so it looks like we'll be facing them again in the semi-final. That leaves Leeds with a match against Rovers, Wigoon or Castleford. Based on Friday's performance Rovers won't trouble Leeds but given Wigoon's record against Leeds would we prefer Wigoon to get through today and next week? Would Leeds prefer to play Wigoon and not Huddersfield? I think it'd be very interesting if Wigoon win these next two games.

It could work out that saints will play hudds in the semi again and Leeds could end up playing hull kr again

My understanding is that Hull KR play Les Cats, and tonights winner (Wigan) will go to Huddersfield.
Based on their good record in the play-offs I can see Wigan getting through to the last four.

Hull KR should win as well so Leeds will most probably pick them so that Saints and Wigan/Huddersfield can knock lumps off each other in the other semi.

No it's Huddersfield (highest ranked loser) who play Catalans (lowest ranked qualifier). Hull KR play tonight's winner.

That is probably the reason both the McClennans were at our match last night. Taking a look at what the opposition could be for when they have to chose. Saying that Leeds still have to beat someone before they can get to any final and they would have to win the final to get the trophy. In the end it is all down to how teams perform over the next week. HKR would be the easiest team at the moment because of their injury list. Other teams left in the comp could pick up injuries though, - even Leeds in teh semi.

If you play wigan you'll be battle hardened for the final.

Theyve made a nice a warm up game for leeds in 2004 2007 and 2008.

I would favour Hudds over Catalans (especially with their suspended players back) and the other game should be really close. Leeds would surely pick Hull KR again if they were given the opportunity, but a choice between Hudds and Wigan would be very tough IMO.

I think we will beat Hull KR and play you guys at your place with Leeds picking the winner of the other game.

Leeds would be daft not to put wigan and saints into a derby match the week before the grand final. Whoever they face would probably have loads of knocks.

Whatever 'Wigoon' do, they're not good enough to string four wins together and in any case, tend to shiit themselves at the mere sight of a red V. Therefore, they aren't your problem.

What IS your problem, however, is that you're a distant third best at the minute, behind Huddersfield and Leeds. Yes, you beat Hudds last week. So what? They're missing players, and they were coming off the back of a huge win against us.

Knowing how hard it is to back up big wins (further evidenced by Warrington and Hudds' showings immediately after Wembley) I fancy you've not seen the last of them.

I also don't buy into the theory that a week off is a good thing. It's possible that the rest will be good for you, but after a long hard season, a week off is just as likely to make players' bodies and minds shut down as it is to refresh them.
