can somebody please explain how they work exactly and the layout of them. I tried to tell my grandad but got confused after saying... 'well grandad, this is how it works.' use the top 8 as it stands now so i can explain to him later. Cheers.

I dont think anyone does, beside the shytte teams who finish 8th 7th etc etc... its trash and the RFL shuld stop messing about with the format. At this rate the RFL would haev tried everything possible, then decided to revert back to "first means winner, then we will haev a premiership comp"...I wish.

Because that was a straight knock out competition which didn't give the sides finishing at the top end of the table any advantage what so ever other than a home game
At least the sides that make an effort throughout the season and actually win more games than they lose to make the play off series, get rewarded for their efforts by having a second chance should they happen to be defeated in the 1st round matches |
