Anyone had new windows and/or doors put in recently ( say last 12 months ), and could recommend a company in the St Helens/Newton/Wigan/Warrington area?

Been looking for ads in the local rags recently, but they are very few and far between these days, compared to 12-18 months ago.

Foundrygate in billinge are good i've not had or heard any bad reports from them

You're the first person I have heard say anything bad about JWS. A couple of my work colleagues recommended them to me as they were highly satisfied.

I'd advise against St Helens Windows. We have had a negative experience with them. They have left us with a front door which does not open properly and allows a nice little gale to blow through (when it's closed, that is!). They would not respond to our concerns about the door and they have never bothered even to supply us with a receipt for our payment.

We'll be looking elsewhere for the next round of double glazing work.

Any good at fixing upvc doors? I have a house with a goosed up door, tenant locked it and now it wont re-open, so they are either locked in, or locked out

Company who fitted in gone into liquidation, as often happens in UPVC land... no idea whats wrong, might be mechanism, but think the door been badly manufactured.
