| Didnt we have this the other week, very nice to see the rise. Lets hope when shudds visit us they turn up with plenty of fans and enjoy a good taunting. The fact its now a friday and on sly tv, would probably mean the usual 20 turn up, maybe 30 this time? Could finish the season with 2 games of around 8500 each.
UNLESS we sack potter, sell leon and roby and get AP back on board.

| Good to see a decent increase this season, I would be happy to see the attendances stay around the 11k mark next season and then hopefully increase further when we move into the new ground.

| If that is true, then Huddersfield famous season ticket price reduction has had hardly any effect whatsoever. For a team who have the cheapest tickets by a mile, and have this season found themselves to be on of the best sides in the competition to have an attendance increase of under 3% isn't what I expected.

It's an increase. The proverbial sledge in cricket "1 brings 2" springs to mind.

According to an item in one of the RL papers this week, just a few years ago (don't know how many because the article didn't say) they only attracted about 500 fans. If they are steadily increasing their gate, chances are the returners/newcomers will stick given that they haven't been winning trophies or anything, just getting on with their game and making themselves known.

i keep posting this but because we have been successful this season we have had SEVEN home games on sky including HULL, HKR, CAS, SAINTS LEEDS, BULLS that has really affected our crowds both for away fans and walk up support. most of these games have had the times changed to evening KOs which affects us we are a Sunday afternoon team, very much geared to kids and families. MY kids who are season ticket holders have only being to 1 / 3 of games this year this affects a lot of other fans.
37 % of our STs are to women many with kids, late Kos and changes affect us heavily much more than other teams who traditionally play games on Fri /sat evenings.
The price we have paid for success this year is a much lower than expected rise in attendances. Dont forget the recession which has hit ALL teams and the fact that Kirklees was the third most sffected place in the country for job losses etc. To actually have any increase in crowds is IMHO a positive sign.

We have been on TV every week since 1996. This year has seen us appear very few times compared to the last years.

Which would seem to support the arguement the more you are on TV the lower the increase in crowds, the less you are on TV the higher the increase.

Must have been the season before then but we have had a lot of games on SKY cannot be a***** checking which.
However the rest of your post is innacurate. Do you really believe that in our second or first game of the season we have had 1500 less season ticket holders than we sold. Plus no one has come close to filling that end. It only holds 4000, so even if you subtract that from the attendance we would have had more than 4000 Giants fans.
Anyway you just take the mickey out of our fans attendance as i dont care. Am too busy getting ready for Wembley.

Well, we've got to take the mickey out of you for something, haven't we? You aren't Wigan or Wire, so attendances are prolly the easiest option open to us.
Enjoy Wembley. It's a great experience.
