Thank you to the majority of fans outside after the game taking time out to come up to and congratulate us, wish us the best and say the best team won.

We all have a small minority of imbeciles and I for one won't let them spoil my opinion of you lot.

same thing happened to us after the semi in 2005, all the St's fans was fantastic to the Hull fans, clapping us, wishing us well, credit to St's fans, very gracious in defeat!!!

At the end of the day mate, the best team won on the day, which is what the majority of Saints fans will understand (same as 2005).

We were beaten by a team that, on the day, were better than us and wanted it more.

And, I think its safe to say that 90% of Saints fans will be cheering on Huddersfield in the final anyway.

enjoy the weekend , finish the job off time now. just like hull in 2005 when they finished off dirty leeds in the final.

i stayed in the west stand for 10 mins after the game to applaud the shuuds fans. they were buzzing and rightly so. have a cracker

its the best part of our game. Me and two mates went in the "hudds" pub next to the train station for some great banter, you couldnt do that in football

i think the police officers in the railway station entrance thought we were football supporters





it was a good day at the Railway - wasn't many Saints in there though, we took it over for the day !!

The police were looking at me and my mates as if we were mad, being in there! I nearly said that we're not football fans!

All day before and after the match the Giants fans were stood on the wall and fence of the club throwing banter around and having a good laugh with Saints fans, Wire fans and members of the public - then 1,just 1 Saints fans decided he was going to walk into the middle of the road to give some 'gob' to us at which point the bobbies decided that we were causing trouble and been a nuisance and warned anyone else climbing onto the wall would be 'nicked' !
fair enough we all did do but why just cos some dick decided he wanted to mouth it to us was it suddenyla problem to be doing what we had been all day?
anyway we didnt let it bother us and fair game to you lot for staying around !!

I love reading the stories of how good our fans are, and how we are elevated above the round ball mob. This is Rugby League, the greatest game of all.

I doubt the reaction of our fans would have been anything as civil or sporting if it'd been Wigoon or Leeds we'd lost to.

after wiping away tears of joy and looking around at the stadium i was surprised to see a few thousand saints fans stood applauding the giants and the fartown fans, compare this in 2006 when majority of leeds fans disappeared pretty rapidly before the final hooter,and alos outside the ground the saints fans again, congratulated and applauded the giants supporters, again in 2006 not even a well done from a leeds supporter. rugby league fans once again show themselves as the most sporting people around.

Totally agree, thanks for your well wishes. It's not just your team that are a credit to our great game, you are too.

Not a chance of me staying to say "well done" to a pie/leeds fan/team.... the rest can have the clap of me though.
