He's turned down the equivalent of around £200k/year to play for the broncos so its either a dream of his or Ozzie rules has more cash than most people thought. If he was purely after cash he'd be playing Japanese RU, so his motives may lie elsewhere.

May be he just doesnt fancy living in Japan or moving abroad at all? I'd be suprised if it was anything other than the money tbh. RU have learned a bit that poaching top RL players and paying them massive wages isnt always a good plan especially if they turn out to be avaerage or worse RU players so maybe his options were limited. Cynical I know but money is a big motivator and you cant blame players because careers are so short. I always said if I'd have been good enough to be a pro RL player I'd have loved to have played in the Red Vee but ultimatly I would have gone with the money even if that would have meant playing in Cherry and White or even worse ... RU..

I see your point but I've not really got a clue how much money is in that game as a whole. A Marquee signing like Hunt though would probably attract alot of private sponsorship though , a bit like we did with Newlove back in the day
