Well pleased with the effort tonight, especially by wheeler and eastmond, ran for everything. A few little mistakes by Kyle, but nothing too dramatic. Longy raised his game tonight, hunting his contract perhaps, but either way his best game for a while.
Harlequins defended well and it was a great win against the side 4th in the league

Longy was superb and Eastmond showed absolutely nothing again. They've got to make a call on him IMO. If they think he's good enough for a position he should play there now, not play 15 minutes of each hald on the wing then switch to halfback.

Its a bit difficult for Eastmond to do show much as a halfback when he is playing on the wing.

For the short time he played at standoff I though he injected himself into the attacking moves quite well.

We really missed the wingers though tonight.

I agree, the lack of positional consistancy can't help us. We need to play Eastmond at 7 for a couple of games, see what happens, if he storms them keep him there and bye bye longy, if he doesn't longy might as well stay

I don't think Eastmond was that great tonight. Agree about Long and Wheeler both played well.

Overall though I don't think it was a great game, too many silly handling errors and overall a far from exciting game - but we won and thats what matters!

Pretty average game.

I thought Longy was good in the first half but pretty poor in the second half.

Set up Roby's try with a great run

Don't know what Potter does in training with this lot but it is making for zero entertainment value.As for Long-don't even offer him a 12 month deal.

I'll have to disagree with you, he was back to near his best tonight. Set up some very good moves and even his defense was much improved from recent weeks

I really get bemused by the discussions on here sometimes. It's as if there are two matches going on at the same time!

I thought Long was terrible at times but at others very good - one of his kicks was class but then he'd throw one of his awful passes and we'd have heart failures because thankfully the receiver managed to catch the damn thing (most of the time) just before he was tackled (and on some occasions that was nothing short of miraculous!)

We were as dull as ditchwater for most of the game and Potter has to stop messing around mid match. Give the team a whole match as a unit so then if they cock it up in the first half at least they have the chance during the second to gel and kick on.

Eastmond was not so hot defensively tonight, which is my concern about him anyway. He looked just as he has done each time I've seen him play. He made a couple of good half breaks but Quins were on him and quick. They played well tonight and with enthusiasm, although I've seen them play better (and had they done so I think they would have beaten us). They made us look shabby and lacklustre and not a league leading side, that's for sure!

I think we were lucky to win that match. I'm happy that we were lucky, but it wasn't down to our creativity, skill, enthusiasm and well drilled defence, that's for sure.

First half he was good.

Second half he threw an interception, was rounded in defence a number of times, threw hospital passes and threw passes to the floor. His hand kicking in the second half was poor.

Did Eastmond get injured again? He seemed to be limping near the end, anybody shed any light on this?

Top of the table in the last eight of the cup knocking out the main threat and add to that best points difference comfortably in the SL comp. Doing a great job is Mick. As for Long he's still the general of this side and without him leading us around the park we our a much weaker outfit.
