| I am the first to admit I am embrassed about the way Saints played last Saturday but some people are going abit extreme. Ok we have lost two in a row and everyone now thinks there is a major crisis!!! Some people on this board need to realise that our squad is no where near as strong as it has been since 2005. Some people seriously need to look at what they are posting because 95% is absoulte and utter rubbish. Instead of banging on about how crap we have been look at the positives. We had a great and unexpected unbeaten Easter and knocked Leeds out of the Challenge Cup in there own backyard.
This team will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season so lets get behind them instead crying that we have lost a couple of ganes. We have a great Rugby League side which some supporters dont deserve.

| Well said, it is easy to get carried away with negativity about the performances - and yes there are a lot of negatives from them - but we are still in a good position overall, and nobody can expect us to win everything throughout the season we will always have highs and lows.
In a way though a lot of fans are now spoilt expecting fantastic performances every week when realistically this isn't going to happen.

I totally agree with you. Personally I dont want to sound like some of the idoits on this board who type utter nonsense but I do feel we will be involved in alot closer matches this season that many expect. I am confident we will win more than we will lose but again our support as supporters will be vital in those games.

| No, we cannot stand for it. It is not acceptable. We must win, by a Hull KR away crowd every time. It isn't fair if we don't. We should blame the ref, grass, kit, and Allah.

| When the players play well, everyone is quick to jump on the bandwagon and applaud them and it is thoroughly deserved. When they play like turd, they deserve to be criticised. Saturday's performance was pathetic and as such not one of them really deserves any credit right now, especially after the comments in the week from KC and Graham. It makes it look as if everyone of them couldn't be bothered with the whole thing.

Well said.
I don't see why fans should praise a rubbish performance. No-one praises my rubbish performances at work. They rightly tell me to buck up my ideas and get off the Internet. Ooops. I mean start concentrating. Nothing makes rugby league players special. They don't play, they get criticised. They do play, they get praised.
On Sunday they have to show me that they are going to play the rugby league I've just paid £16 to watch. I hope they win - I always do - but whether they win or not, I have paid hard earned cash to watch them so they had better bloody well play.

I agree with that and that is the only thing that kept me on the right side of the cliff this afternoon as it all got too much at my Wigan-infested workplace.
The players said in the lead up to the game that they basically had no interest in the whole affair, much like the Challenge Cup warmup charade we were villified for ducking out of. I firmly believe that well paid sportsmen should be willing to accept criticism when their effort or performance is below their ability level, so they should expect some for that showing.
If we go and slaughter Catalans, who are arguably a better outfit than the Goons (Certainly have a much better pack) it will be a case of normal service resumed on here and the dillusionals will be out in force again. Truth is we haven't got the strength in depth to stroll through a season playing well every week, so I don't mind the odd blip, especially as they prewarned us not to attend
In the glory days of Ian Millward, the teamsheet would have been full of academy players signed off with a two finger stamp by Basil himself. Instead they chose the other option, fielded a strong lineup and put a totally half-ar$ed effort in.

| Saints have a great 17, but very inexperienced after that. If we have a few injuries we have no cover so we see play like we have for the last two matches. Hopefully this is our dip in form and we can be back at our best come october (and CC final if we're there). Wellens needs to go for his op now and be back for the back end of the season. Graham needs some rest and so does Longy (to regain his hunger if nothing else).

| i am a bit cheesed off that we lost but tbh we are still top so that helped alot with the anger lol but in all honestly, i am sure in the past few seasons we have lost 2 on the trot its nothing new and its better than going unbeaten to long because then it hurts like hell when u loose, i dont mind loosing to wigan aswell because they were on top form and we simply wasnt bothered
plus with some teams stepping it up even more each year it makes it harder to keep the high level of skills we have shown in the past years, we all knew it would be harder this year having a new coach, loosing so many players and only signing the one i am happy with our season up to now but i truely believe the catalan challenge cup game will answer many questions!!!!!!

Wello does need his op as we have delayed it for long enough at will be getting worse before it gets better. Graham has been monsterous this season but my only concern is if we rest him we will be light upfront especially with Cayless on the sidelines yet again. With Graham out of the side we will struggle to get meters upfront.

But if we don't rest him and we end up with Fielden, what then?
Against the pies Graham got 196 metres and 24 carries and 22 tackles. That is phenominal, nearly twice as many metres as anyone else, so we will miss him, but we'll miss him more if he burns out.

I understand that and you are correct, however some of the absolute tosh that has been posted on this board and Redvee is embarrassing, it isn't criticsm, it's whining.

| All I ask for from a side is that they put 100% enthusiasm and dedication each time they take to the field.
I didn't see 100% from Saints on Saturday, far from it.
That said, I still can't see past Saints and Leeds for the top honours this year.
Normal service will resume at weekend when Saints turn over Catalan, and Wigan are put out of the cup by Wakey.

There isn't a cat in hells chance the Goons will lose to Wakefield. If they do, I'll run naked around Wembley on final day.
