I sincerely hope Ellis gets as good a shout as Eastmond has had. Hopefully we'll remember how to play well and win games with confidence sometime soonish so that Ellis can be a part of that experience rather than being picked as part of a losing team.

i think we'll have a better squad next year. Moore back, cayless off our books replaced but younger but similar class player and soliola. Added to wheeler eastmond lomax and the other kids another year of experience.

The holding down is there for all to see, excessive compared to previous years, probably by all teams in fact. Not there fault though as it's obviously being allowed by RFL directives to the referees who aren't awarding penalties as much as in the past.

Regarding the offside I have watched most of the game and nearly every single offside penalty was spot on. The reason for that was that you were over eager and yards offside when the PTB was taking place. One one occasion 10 of the Hudds 13 were 2-3 yards in front of the ref when the ball was played. You are so keen to move up you conceded a bag load of penalties. About time I say.

On the plus side, your squad is that fast and more dynamic than we are at present, that you don't even need to charge forward and jump the gun, you are fast enough anyway with normal line speed.

Regarding watching the game, I do watch the game and closely, and who are you exactly to comment on how I see it? I'm sure you are completely unbiased of course and see it all black and white! Get over yourself.

And our reserves now (including those who play at first grade more regularly), who you think are nothing special, were part of the team that won their Grand Final last year as the academy (bar Eastmond and Wheeler, who are older). So if they are nothing special then heaven knows what yours are!

Gilmour going will make the pack a lot weaker. God help us if we got 1 or true injuries in the forwards.

You say cayless off the books but what's to say we will replace him? We don't replace players anymore. I think frodsham will replace cayless.

I do think the backs might be better with soliolia coming in and wheeler, lomax and eastmond will add the pace we need but as I said I don't think the yound forwards will be up to super league level next year.

IMO if we bring in 1 prop(we need 2 really) and graham stays fit then yes we might challenge next year.

Fas should be back and he has missed a lot this year, that is like having an extra forward,and we haven't had Cayless all year so 1 new good prop maybe enough.

I don't want to sound to doom and gloom but I think potter has got huge problems next year. Even worse if no props are brought in.

I bet deep down potter wishes he stayed in sunny south of France.

I to wish he would have stayed in the south of france. I know I will get slated for this but like the rest of you I pay my money, and it is my honest opinion hes not the right man for us. I dont to get to as many games as most of you but then I have a 600 mile round trip, plus a hotel to pay for as well as entrance fee, so I think that im entitled to voice my opinion and concerns. Potter, for me is not right cant put my finger on it, but he seems lifeless, clueless and bland, I think almost anyone with the squad he has could have achieved what he has done, hes no Millward, or DA thats for sure, and as Ive said before I didnt want him here in the first place, so who else? to be honest I aint got a clue but not him.
By reading the post on here a lot of you guys were a bit gutted and pi**ed of with Fridays performance, me to all that way to watch that, I must be mad.

I see what your saying about potter but I can't recall DA avin a team with wheeler, eastomond, lomax, dean, ashurst, dixon, emmit, ellis making a large number of our 17 each week.

It's been a tough 1st season for him with injuries but DA on his 1st season was knocked out in cc semis and didn't make grand final.

The way we are playing is utter rubbish and shocking at times and only time will tell if that's down to potter or other situations.

It's been said potter was brought in to rebuild but if sir mac continues with this current recruitment policy then it's not possible to build a team that will challenge next year.

Mate, Wayne Bennett wouldn't be able to do much with the team Potter can put out at the moment.

I've been saying same type of thing.

If 4 or 5 of our 17 are young kids then we ain't going to be as strong as DA team.

Next year will also be a big test for potter with long, gilmour, cayless and maybe KC going.

i agree that behind a beaten pack they wont look upto much and perhaps i was harsh about eastmond, but if you dont improve your pack next year it could be a trophyless year, from what ive seen of the young forwards coming through dixon, ashurst and emmitt they are nowhere near ready for first team, clough to me is nothing more than average too, as other people have posted you really need 2 more props and to me a coach who coaches the saints way.
