Yeah he has been a let down. Away to Cats last season he was solid as hell and perhaps that is him at his best. He has ability we know that 30 test matches tell us that much.

I think what he says is quite interesting. I wonder if there are more players feeling frustrated? After all, Brown has done a fair bit of messing about with this team and has undermined results as a consequence. That can't be without impact on the players.

Maybe he should learn to do a shuffle, then you can all think he's great.

Yep, they should play better and cement their places in their positions, NB hasn't moved robes from 9 as he's the best there is there

tbf he hasn't had much chance to move him has he? Robes has been missing for most of the season. I'm sure though if he'd been around more, Brown would have had him playing in the halves at some point.

It wouldn't suprise me to see him named at 13 with Hohaia at 9 and them share the dummy half role.

Very poor for the Exiles tonight as well. And used as a utility from the bench by them even.

Lance's best position is 1 but we dont seem to want to use him there , even when Lomax is having to cover at 6. Says alot about what Brown thinks of him.

I thought he did OK for the Exiles, his best performance of the season so far (not saying much, I know!)

I think his only complaint can be that we brought in Howarth on loan, rather than let him play no. 9 when Roby was out. However, you could quite easily argue that Howarth has outperformed him. He had a full season at 6 last year and made no impact, so he can't really complain about not getting chances there again this year.

I think when howarth came in for 4 or 5 games lance was out injured.

The worst signing we've made since Michael O'Connor no question - the one signing we've made over the last few years that looked fishy right from the start and he's been far worse than I feared he might be when he was first announced. Hopefully we can do a mutually beneficial deal to off him back to Oz in the summer as it's hard to see where his future lies in a red vee.

I can think of a few overseas much worse than lance. I agree, he's been poor but he's not half as bad as you and others make out.

Problem with Lance is that he isn,t a team player, can,t read the game very well from the middle of the park. Now proven not worthy of a starting 13 spot, more value of a utility player from the bench as per is latter career in the NRL.

Like I said, he's not been great but I think a lot of it comes down to being moved from one position to the next. He's basically a fullback, he's played at the top level in the NRL and international as a fullback but we've not played him there.

It was pretty clear early on he wasnt going to be a halfback, he had no speed of thought, no rugny brain, no kicking a d looked all at sea. Hohaia is a runner and is used to space from being fullback.

I think its harsh all the stick he's getting. The is much worse players in our squad who lack any effort at all.

However, its just not worked out and IMO a move would be good for both parties. I 100% believe he'd do a great job for 80% of super league teams if he was played fullback.

He struggles under the high bomb which is why Id always prefer Makinson or even Swift at full back before Hohaia. Considering he's quota & on good money he's not worthy of a place in the squad. Would do no more than a few of our other players in any of the positions he's played in. Average in a multitude of positions, our modern day Mark Bailey.

OK - you can have Damien Smith, Dom Feaunati and Mark Bourneville, but none of them came with even a fraction of the reputation or wages that Lance has. Perry has stunk the joint out too no question on similar big money and rep, but has at least looked the business [ion occasion[/i and has basically it seems just been crippled by injury. Lance is no halfback but still should be capable of more in the position given his running ability than just shuffling the ball one more to the left every time he gets it which is all you get from him 95% of the time. Even playing prop he should be bringing more to the team than he has done. I can't wait to see the back of him.
