a win against saints in the weekly rounds is one thing but when it comes to the play offs they will still win.

my prediction leeds v saints in the grand final, leeds coming out on top again is the way i see it.

Saints are definitely past their peak and on the way down to meet the rest of the chasing pack. However, if they get players back they could still do something in the play-offs but next season will be very different. They haven't replaced Long and Cunningham can't go on much longer. Gilmour has added a cutting edge to the attack and he goes as well. They won't become a poor side overnight but they will find it much more difficult to hit top spot next year. There are some good young players coming through but that is also the case at several other clubs.

Seems some don't realise that, no matter who you're playing, if the props don't get on top, you'll struggle, and you'll never get on top with just 2.

I keep hearing certain people on here banging on about what great young players we got coming through the youth ranks but I'm not sure I agree.

From seeing giants kids last night and wigans, Leeds youngsters I'd say they seem to have better kids.

Other than eastmond and wheeler the rest look pretty average to be honest.

The thing that worries me though is next year these kids will be week in week out 1st team!

Don't be down on our young players.

The only standout performer of theirs to me was the fullback. The rest were ok, full of enthusiasm, but nothing brilliant. We just gave them everything they needed to function. Don't measure Hudds reserves by us because we were so badly underperforming it was unreal. Our own reserves beat their reserves by 6 points last week; our academy tonked theirs 56-0 or something. If that group of players had played Leeds last night, who appear to be hitting form at the right time (again!), they would have been beaten well and truly, as they would have been had we played anything like to the standard we are capable of.

Only the fullback was seriously worth noting, and that's a good thing, because the England team need a good fullback.

Lomax is going to be a great player!

Anyway. Holding down is the name of the game this season. We're still practising it because our forte was speedy rugby league of the attractive variety.

We were awarded 12 pens to your 4, I think. But you are the second most penalised side in the league so I guess you must be doing something wrong somewhere!

You are right on that one, but knowing our luck with props this season he would have been out for half a season injured.

all I'm saying my old mate is I don't think these kids are as good as what other teams are bringing in. That's all my mate ski.

At no point did I bag them. I just don't think they are as good as other teams kids.
