I think we should create a "Gary Wheeler of the Message Board" award, the slightest crack in performance and the knee jerk goes into overdrive.
We do have 2 consistent performers and are way out in front at the moment for this award.

We can all pick out bad ref decisions.

The first one not to at least bin the player has just as big an effect as not calling 2 forwards.

There are a few headless chickens on here, but the Sad one is generally like this frequently.

Agree we were fortunate green didn't get at least a yellow.

We were thinking of sending him out on dual reg but thought he might be too much for the rugby society. He does say something positive on a rare occassion, but blink and you might miss it.

Jeez, one game lost. Get over it. Every supporter in SL would rather have their team where Saints are right now. If Saints are playing as badly as some of their supporters are saying then heaven help the rest of us when they get their act together!!!

There was an interesting decision last night.

It was something that went against us last week, but for us last night.

It's the reaching around the ruck, last week our player did it and everyone was shouting professional foul and this week Hull KR got pinging for it. Does this mean that the dummy half is immune from being tackled?

Until he moves or passes, basically yes.

That's an awful rule.

Don't disagree, it was one of my favourites whilst I was still playing! As far as I know, the rfl thought there was too much slapping at the wrists and it would clean up the rook

Anyway - I thought Saints tactics were all wrong. Cunningham must have bought Brian Nobles 2 page Coaching Manual - `Five Drives and a Kick` - Saints were very poor in attack but the last 5 minutes showed that when the ball goes wide there are actually spaces on a Rugby field. Long hasnt improved the set plays just yet has he?

There are some ungracious Saints fans on here. Your coach admitted we deserved to win and was most magnanimous in defeat. You should try taking a leaf out of his book. This was the opinion of the independent pundits as well and that the closeness of the score was not a true reflection of the game overall. You may have not have played as well as you expected to but this was partly down to the opposition, something you do not seem to be able to accept. Your so called "big forwards" were controlled for parts of the game by a much lighter pack as we were only able to field two props. You are the champions, you are top of the league its just a pity that you cannot respond appropriately as KC does.

Let me be first to do so then. Thought as usual you defended us perfectly giving the half backs no time to work and battling hard against our superior pack. Like you say gap should have been 10+ points. Think on paper you've got a top 8 squad just need to come together as a team. Hope you make top 8, be a better comp for HKR being in it!

Controlled so much that saints had 3 times the possession in your half than you did in ours?

You shut our links down well (or illegally in the case of Burns, but that's another story) and you played expansively which meant we couldn't compress our defence to make our forwards count further.

There were plenty of opportunities in both halves for Saints to be clear. Instead we gifted you 2 tries, and spurned opportunity after opportunity. You took your opportunities and deserved the win because of that. You didn't play well, we played worse. You can deserve a win and not play well.

If that's being ungracious so be it. I'm not going to lavish praise on a team that played poorly. I'm sorry. If we're going to talk about ungracious, how about the hkr fans booing injured saints players, and shouting to get on with the game whilst Roby had a head injury?

Maybe the worst refereed game I have ever seen. Rovers should have played most of the game with twelve men while half of Saints points came from ridiculous forward passes. Both sets of fans deserve to feel aggrieved and both sets of players deserve better!

I assume the LMS try the ref thought it came off a hkr player. In that position he's in a no win situation. He can't hand it up to the video ref to check, as the video ref can't rule out tries for forward passes, so had to play to his gut. It was a poor decision, but I empathise with it more than some of the other decisions made in the game that went against both sides. The final try was a shocker by Wilkin

What if had gone to the video ref who cant act on forward passes, seeing how far forward it was but the video refs not being able to rule on that is ridiculous.

Pretty good away support from your lot considering it was on Sky by the way.

No one is asking you to praise anything. Control can be exerted in all areas of the field not just in the opposition half. We spurned easily as many chances as Saints did. Of course our tries were due to your poor play. They could not have been due to anything else. We have Burns to thank for two of them. An intercepted pass and a woeful attempt at a tackle. That was typical of many Burns performances although he can have many brilliant ones as well. I could say two of your four tries were due our poor defending and the other two to poor ref/linesmen decisions. If you look back you will find that our run of beating you nine time in the last eight years at our home ground has always been due to your poor performance and us not playing well. Funny that isn't it?

Hull KR won, Saints lost that's how it'll show on the record books... HKR deserved their win, even if they should have been down to 12 men on the field. Onwards and Upwards... Wigan on Friday for which a response is required...

For all Saints fans we win as a team, we lose as a team (no scapegoating)! Yes there were poor performances from our 3/4's and FB, but lets support them and re-build their confidence, not knock them for this that and the other... Some fans really grind my gears with the doom and gloom after 1 narrow defeat
