Nor can most Saints fans. That's Potter's call, I believe. Apparently our young guy Lomax can kick. He was on the bench, came on late, dropped a ball and then got injured (yet another one). Had he been brought on earlier then he could perhaps have grabbed a couple for us. Alternatively, another of our young guys who had his debut against Salford (poor soul) can also kick. He wasn't even named in the 19. Potter's decision made a fool out of Wellens tonight and I feel really sorry for Wello. |

I don't give a f*ck about stats. I judge by watching players. Smith returns the ball with more interest, he dominated the collision more than wellens who ambles in, he can beat defenders with pace etc.

As such a professional outfit in all aspects of the game with the obvious exception of goal kicking, I'm bemused and baffled why the Saints take the skill and importance of place kicking so lightly???????????? surely its not inconceivable to wonder why in a club with so many top flight players not one decent kicker can be found I'm lost for words!

All the top sides have dedicated place kickers all better than we have at Saints. Long as decided he doesn't want to kick ! Is it beyond the realms of possibility to expect our club to pick and train 3 or 4 players under the tuition of a professional kick coach and get them to at least practice during normal training sessions ? Our approach at the moment seems to be WHO WANTS TO KICK TONIGHT ??? NOT GOOD ENOGH MR. POTTER GET YOUR FINGER OUT. |

When it comes to place kicking we are unprofessional ! I can go back to the likes of Austin Rhodes and his ilk who practiced their art and delivered, our players are after all well paid professionals and to expect a couple who have some ability to put their hand up for intense training is in my mind expected ! pay a bonus for every goal kicked,

And apparantly non prior to that in any of his previous club & rep games. Seems the JL factor has taken effect and everyone thinks all centres can kick. |
