Very much doubt it, RL is my life and also will be my legacy. And seeing as I am the chairman of 3 counties of RL I think I am infact more qualified than any of the loons who came up with Kev as a nominee thing.
Oh yes, if anything I am over qualified.
LEGACY !

The last three years has got nothing to do with the award. It is based soley on this years contribution to the game. Although Sinfield has played well at times this year he is not the best in the world in his position.

Well lucky for us the "relevant" opinions think differently and do enlighten us as to who is the best at 13 this yr then.

| It frustrates me how parochial supporters can be, the game of RL is not about just the team you support, as I have said previously Kevin Sinfield has performed well for a good number of years now and never been given the credit he deserves, on and off the field he is a real young gentleman and a superb role model for young people.
We should be proud of any super league players that get nominated for such an award, which is not just selected by League Express. I Hope that Kevin can pull it off and it will be recognition to the British game of RL.

If you were there, then It would not need explaining.
He received the MOM award, and it was very much deserved. Not only been the best player on the park, but the leadership showed in leading a team to an unprecedented 3rd championship on the trot.
I really dont think there is anybody else dumb enough on RLFans to ask "what did sinfield do of worth in this years GF".

What i am saying is that there was no one that really stood out as being 'great' on the night, especially not Sinfield.
Mind you, it may have been a gesture with it being the 3rd time Leeds had won the GF, similar to Longy getting the Lance Todd for the 3rd year in a row when he wasn't the best player on the pitch that day.
Mind you, when you have Stevo harping on about how good Sinfield, McGuire, etc... are then it is no suprise that the sheep follow in their herds and proclaim their greatness.

Nonsense.
Here's a neutral perspective from the Independent (article: Sinfield has St Helens in a recurring nightmare, 12.10.09):
[iBoth he [Lee Smith and Long, however, were overshadowed by the Leeds captain, Kevin Sinfield, whose contribution meant that they might well have won even without Smith's controversial try... Nobody epitomised the spirit of the class of 2004 better than him, especially in two moments of the second half. There was the cool, strategic brain that decided on a drop-goal soon after the break - a shrewd psychological ploy if ever there was one... Then there was the the sheer willpower that saw him track back and across to nail Kyle Eastmond on the corner-flaf to save a try - not merely the tackle of the season, but of a career.[/i

| Tackle of a career? ? ?
Jeez, well Wello, Maurie and Ade must have had the tackle of the century then when they bundled Donald into touch at the Galpharm in the CC Semi last season then, when compared to that tackle from Sinfield.
What a hero he is.
As for the drop goal, Sinfield said that Bluey told them to get the drop goal at the earliest opportunity, so Sinfield was only executing a play that was advised by his coach.

Yes because a tackle involving 3 players is the equal of a one on one..... nor really.
Jeez. I thought you were taking the micky earlier, not been serious.
Usually your posts are pretty decent and not necessarily with bias. But I think you have dug a hole for yourself on this thread, and continually digging deeper with stupid comments.

That's because my posts aren't biased.
I simply do not feel that Sinfield should be anywhere near a contender for the Golden Boot Award, he is vastly over-rated.
I then asked what he did of note in this years' GF, and simply because he is captain and lead Leeds to a 3rd consecutive GF victory, then he is some sort of hero. Then the poster above tries to make out that it was Sinfield's 'clever brain' that dropped the goal, when as said, it was Bluey who told him to go for the drop goal at the earliest opportunity.

And, had you left it at that then it is just a difference of opinion.
But what you then said, was that on Saturday Sinfield put his best performance in in years.
That is completely untrue, and infact Saturdays performance was only equal to what Sinfield produces in 25 games per season. He is Mr Consistency at a very high standard.
His performance in the GF was better than what he produced on Saturday. It was just a different role.

I don't know how to come back from that one Gaz, I really don't, I feel so stupid now I've realized it was all because Stevo said so.
Despite captaining his club from the age of 22 to 4 GF wins, 2 LL shields, 2 WCC, Lance Todd trophy, Harry Sunderland trophy, WCC MOM, 5 SL dream team, Leeds player of the year, England MOM beating the world champions, being nominated for the golden boot by an independent panel of Australian and English judges, being named in the world team of the year, numerous Leeds and SL records.
I just feel so silly now I have had my eyes opened to the truth, Well done Stevo, Sinfield owes you big time.

Sorry, you have made a turd of yourself. I used to think it was juvenille Saints fans who came up with similar stuff like this. Just to let you know. Rugby League was not invented by SKY:
I recall Wigan won the League a fair few time son the bounce: 1989/90, 1990/91, 1991/92, 1992/93, 1993/94, 1994/95, 1995/96.
Sorry to spoil your Rhino's cockkfest.
Back on topic. Sinfield is a very good SuperLeague player - a real clubman versed in good old fashioned nous. A Leeds version of Harry Pinner
He is a worthy candidate, but given he is plying his trade in an inferior competition and to date has been the Mark Ramprakash of the Rugby league, I can't see him win it.
