good luck to Gleeson. He is a good player and being almost 29 he has bagged himself a great contract (3 1/2 years). He is no Judas, he's a Fielden, draining the salary cap like a cess pit truck. He gave up on the game years ago, simply goes through the motions in his lucid moments. Only reason Wigan signed him was to get rid of Mathers. He'll quickly be added to the ever growing list of under achievers, make a good combination with Timmy and Pryce in the reserves. Fade into oblivion like Simon Haughton.

I also would like to announce that I am abandoning my plans to play in the NRL next year.

EVERY winger who has played outside Gleeson has scored tries. That should tell you something when that list includes, Fa'afili, Gardner, Hicks and Smith.

He is still probably the best English in the game and was available. Shenton is another who looks as though he could make it but is tied up on a long term contract at Cas.

I posted on another thread on here that I did not want to lose Goulding yet as I think he still has a chance of making it, but concede that he has not progressed as well as I thought he would.

It looks as though he may go out on loan which to me seems a good option for both him and Wigan.

Gleeson is a Wigan lad plus if we had not sold him he would probably still be at Saints, so calling him a Judas is a tad unfair. Even though it was my first response



Its a better long term move for Warrington than Wigan IMO. Tony Smith is more likely to get more out of Mathers and Gleeson comes with his usual bagage.

We've all seen Mathers play for Wigan yes but quite a few of us saw him play for Leeds too and he looked a totally differenent player there. Guess time will tell.
