Yep, it seems strange that we have persisted with Wello as drop out taker - he is inconsistent at best and always has been. Presumably it is because, as he is the full back, the full defensive line can make an immediate chase. But I suspect the benefit from that doesn't outweigh the loss. If you look at most other sides' drop outs they tend to make halfway or thereabouts. We often pitch them on the 30m line.

It's a simple issue of leg strength and distance. Wello doesn't have any. Surely there's someone at the club who can consistently hit the half way line - at the very least.

Having seen the hoof Wilkin was putting on the ball yesterday you'd think he could do it. And we've seen Long on regular occasions knock over drop goals from 40 yards with plenty of room to spare.

But that must be obvious to the coaching staff. They must just like having the full back do it so that the defensive line can be set before the drop out is taken.

We should get Pat Richards on board, just to pop on, do a droup out then pop off again. Bit like those american foozballers do in the NFL, they just have a goal kicker dont they... we need a drop out man...oh and a goal kicker of course.

I imagine a lot of it is to do with him being able to take up his full back duties straight away after taking it and helping keep the defensive line intact but if we are losing 20/30 metres every time it would be better for someone else to take it.

Wello had a good game with some vital tackles and a cool head, but please, surely we have a better kicker than Wello.

He must be the worst goal kicker to have played in SL.

The dropping out is poor, but you are right, goal kicking is a real worry. While Potter has come into a fairly cushy job in terms of the teams ability and professionalism, this is one area where he could try and do something.

If he plays on Thursday, he won't play against Hull. According to League Weekly he's being assessed game by game as he plays through a chronic knee injury which will eventually require surgery.

Even if I was neutral which I'm not I'd have to correct this.

Saints have won the league for the last 4 years. FACT. They have 4 trophies which prove it.

SADLY, as we all know, Leeds have won the Grand Final in a playoff competition for the last two years and therefore taken the major prize and the glory at Old Trafford.

But you cannot say that Saints did not win the league because we did! It's not embarrassing to be correct.

We have won the League leaders shield for the past 4 seasons hence we have won the league. Dohhhhhhh. The Whinos have won the overall competition but it doesn't take away the fact that saints have 4 trophies to show for the dominance of the weekly rounds.

I'm sure if Leeds had won the league in the same fashion as us this last 4 years they would now be crowing, and its the same if they could manage to win the C.C.. But of course the idiots poo poo these achievements as not worth the effort. that's why they tell you they weren't bothered on Sunday being knocked out of the cup.
