| The Aussies beat a strong Leeds side last night 38 - 24.
Saturday will be very interesting, I hope England have selected a big pack, otherwise I think we may get mullered.

U18's I believe, but both Wigan and Leeds played some of their u19's in those games. I'm not sure what the break date is for the Aussies though as ours is 1st September. A mate of mine e-mailed me to say that almost all of the aussie lads are contracted to pro clubs and play in their U20 competition over there.
As I've said previously some of them are absolute monsters, and sadly they're not all in the forwards.

There's normally no need for Rogues Gallery to post on here but he frequently does and most of the time they arnt as constructive as this post (they are normally just trolling attempts). YG is probably just fed up of him as are plenty regular posters on here and has let his frustrations get the better of him. I know you like [igood old 'Brian'[/i but plenty including me arnt so keen.
I think he might still be banned from Redvee so I expect he'll be on overdrive here.

| ** Reminder**
Game kicks off at 2 p.m today at Leigh.
I believe that Ollie Davies has been selected to start in the 2nd row for England.
Good luck to all the England lads, it's going to be difficult against what is an outstanding Aussie side.
Watch out for Latterell Mitchell, Brock Lamb and Luciano Leilua all superb players plus prop forward Jacob Host who impressed me at Orrell last week.

| Game finished England 18 Australia 22.
Mitchell scored two superb tries for the Aussies and Lamb was my m.o.m.
England had their chances but put far too much ball down particularly in the 20 metre zone when attacking. Toby King was my England m.o.m. Ollie Davies had a good game before going off injured and I thought the young London scrum half Joe keyes went well, however the England pack was dominated by the bigger Aussies.

Hey Rogues, just a couple of things the commentators said Nick Gregson went off injured, did Oli Davies go off injured as well ?
Also, one commentator who i believe was Mark Hobson an ex Bradford player said that England were a bigger team, is that the case ?
Would you make any changes ?

Gregson went off with what looked like a bad knee injury. I hope it's not a reoccurrence of the one he had back in 2013. Davies also went off in the 2nd half but I believe it's only a "dead leg"
No way were England the bigger side.
Lamb and Mitchell(what a player he is) were standouts for the Aussies and the pack were relentless in driving the ball forward and just as importantly in the tackle, often driving the English players backwards.
However England did have their chances, Gildart should have put Lancaster in early on but his pass was poor. Keyes twice opened up the defence only for Turgut to put the ball down (one which Mitchell picked up and went 80 metres) Then early in the 2nd half Golding made a good break down the middle only to throw his pass into Aussi hands.
Englands attack improved with the introduction of Waterworth, his passing from dummy half was excellent, but that's not to say Robbie Ward was poor, he produced the tackle of the match to chase across and prevent the Aussies scoring. Jordan Abdul had a good game for England as did Oliver Davies, but our front row didn't deliver.
I was very disappointed in Turgut and Lancaster, two players I have praised previously and expected better of. As Turgut is captain I can't see him being dropped, I just hope it was a one off poor game. From somewhere we need to find who can hold their own with the Aussie pack which would give us some hope.
Toby King was very good for England and both he and Gildart caused problems from the centre positions but Gildart did make a couple of poor decisions with the ball, a bi=t like last week when Wigan were chasing the game.
We need someone to give Mitchell "a dodgy curry" on Thursday.
Sadly I can't go on Friday as I'm in Manchester with my ex work colleagues for what is usually a "messy" Christmas meet up.

Why would a Wigan fan feel the need to put a match report on a Saints site yet NOT post a match report on the site of the club he supports?

Because I was asked for my opinion by the Eclipse, who just happens to live in Australia. He also a well respected poster and journalist.
There have been comments on the Wigan site (Cherry.Pie did an excellent summary) so I didn't really need to, but I have made comments on the Wire, Leeds and Hull forums.

I can't remember it happening before. I think Gildart and Shorrocks may have played had they not gone to Florida for pre season training with the first team. Have you heard anything about the severity of Gregsons injury?

Not heard a thing about it, but I saw that he had a foot brace on a few days. Thought you'd have known about it personally.
