This season is a step back for saints as we should have had the foresight to see that Cayless was leaving and had a better younger fitter prop to come in and offer more?

Soliola shouldn't play in Friday's match IMO. He's only done 40 minutes all season and so would be a disaster. For match practice, let him play the first 20 against Hudds, where we will likely be mullered anyway. |

I would try to avoid playing Soliola at centre because of his lack of match practice. In fact, I wouldn't pick him there at all as he is a better second rower, but it might be our only option if Gidley misses out. Could turn out to be crucial.

It looks like Briers may be playing tomorrow night. I've just been listening Ryan Atkins on Radio Manchester. he said he has been training with the first team all week. If he does play we need to target him early. We all know he goes missing or off injured if he can't run the show. Although he was not in the original 19 he could still be added if another player drops out injured.

I don't understand why they would do this. I don't think the Briers ommission ruffled any feathers at all, they are probably better without him. If they were going to ar$e about and use mind games, they should use names like King, Carvell, Monaghan or especially Morley. |

Thats what id go for from the squad potter has picked. If fozz is fit i would have started with foz at prop with tony p going on the bench in cloughs place.
IMO if foz has been dropped its a massive mistake.

I agree with you on soliola being rusty but i think he should be on the bench and used in 20 min spells. His power and size will be big boost for us. I would not even consider him playing centre at all this week as he not fit and will get caught out defending in the centres. |
