| Brilliant from Cloughy tonight.
As others have said elsewhere, he just refuses to be tackled!

He's a tough little nugget is Cloughy, but he's not got the physique to be as good as Graham. I thought he stood up very well tonight, his defense is outstanding and going forward he took it up well and looked for the gaps intelligently.

| I just wish he would pass the ball more.
He used to have a great offloading and short passing game in the academy, but just plays up the jumper in SL.
Its his main weakness at present.
If you want route 1 hard yardage though he is top class.

Hopefully it's area of his game that will develop in the next few years. He's still relatively young in first team years, this is only his 3rd year so he's still learning. I think he's turning into a very good forward and I look forward to seeing him progress like Graham did.

| Very good last night.
He represents the future of back row play in this country for me, hard yards and strong defence on a consistent basis. If he can develop an offloading game he could be an absolute belter.

| He seems to have his head on right as well. I've seen him a few time out at night and he is necer full of himself, very unassuming. With characteristics like that I would be tempted to put a punt on him being captain one day

| Very impressed with the lad against Wakey (even if they weren't up to much). Good yardage per carry. An improved work rate over the Leeds game. Mistakes kept under control (as usual).
He looks like he's added a few extra pounds during the close season. Given his low centre of gravity it should lead to improved yardage figures this campaign.
He's above the development curve at the moment. If he can bring his handling game up from the academy and concentrate just a touch more on running at gaps instead of defenders he'll be a handful for opposition packs throughout the league.

You really reckon he's up to being a front rower? I don't see him being big enough, he's fine in the second row.

| Really good performance against Wakey. He has been generally good this year and I hope he can become the equivalent of JJB at Leeds. His footwork really helps him get the extra yards.

| Watching Clough is probably the highlight of going to Saints for me. i love the way he's stepped up from being a promising youngster to really conributing in terms of yards and tackles. He's probably not making as many breaks or scoring as many tries as a year ago, but that's probably because he's injecting himself into the battle a bit more.
As for those who say he's too small for front row - I'd already say he's a better prop than Hargreaves (although Bryn's been pretty good the last two games). Besides, size isn't everything, look at Eorl Crabtree.

Even that is something that surprises me, though looking at Wikipedia it says Ward was only 5ft 11 inches.
Which I cant for one minute believe. I would have thought more like 6ft 2.
The amazing thing for me re Ward is that he started his career as a centre.
