Nothing has happened since the Fox News article (published in November) which said Lyon was due to sign a new deal with Manly.
If he was "poised" to sign why hasn't he done so by now? The reality is there are other players coming off contract with Manly such as Anthony Watmough and Adam Cutherbertson who they are also desperate to keep hold of as well. Manly have been struggling for a while to keep players under their salary cap.

He may well end up signing another deal with Manly or another club and until he does the rumour mill will just run and run.

Since when did contracts stop Jamie from doing what ever he wants? He claimed to be considering a contract from us before he signed for Manly, when he was always going back. Just because he says he is milling over a contract doesn’t mean he hasn't already made his mind up to do the opposite. Either way we will just have to see. I would not say it was out of the question.
