Jimmy Watson and Danny Maun both scored a pair of tries as Hunslet Hawks returned to the top of Kingstone Press Championship 1 with a 32-12 win over Oxford at South Leeds Stadium. Tommy Connick went over for the visitors in the 28th minute and added the extras himself before Luke Stenchion went over for the Hawks and Danny Ansell's goal levelled the scores. But Yannic Parker breached the Hunslet defence and Connick converted on the stroke of half-time to ensure that Oxford went into the interval with a lead. Maun went over for his first try of the afternoon 10 minutes into the second half and Ansell again converted before Watson's try gave Hunslet their first lead of the game and Ansell added a third goal. Watson, Maun and Jermaine Akaidere then put the icing on the cake with further tries and Ansell took his goal tally to four.
