Good signing, hopefully keeps his form and development when he returns from injury & joins us, he's still young and has already showed he's one of best second rowers in Super League wonder if this means Martin won't be retained.

Decent signing, young and Leeds born. Will fit in well with the other 23 2nd rowers we have at the club. Lol.

Hopefully Rhyse Martin's replacement which would free up a quota spot to use elsewhere. Bentley will be an upgrade on Martin thats for sure if that is the plan.

Hopefully he can make a full recovery.

Potentially good signing, but a risk as not shown if he can fully recover post broken leg and ankle ligament damage.
But in current climate, not a bad signing.

Great signing, he was an absolute beast against is earlier this year. A real terrier, who is a constant annoyance for the opposition. As others have said, very much in the ablett mould!

For me, we now don’t need Martin. I imagine we had to pay Martin more or maybe the same we’re paying bentley, and I don’t think we need both with Walters, O’Connor and Gannon coming through, as well as Donno who can cover there.

Martin for me doesn't seem to have fully recovered from covid. Seemed sluggish. Wonder if he was told his contract was to end

Gale is quite a handy kicker, not quite in Martin's league but very decent. Personally i'd keep Martin, he's been showing good signs of getting back to form recently and he's got ability to break tough defences. I suppose it will come down to quota spots and balancing that salary cap. Prior's future will have a big say on that too..

Great signing for Leeds. He's perfect for the 6 again rules. Got a massive engine, good skills, great attitude, tough.

Great signing, hopefully for the long term but if he fulfills his potential he may want to try NRL at some stage.

And if him coming to Leeds winds up that ragtag collection of reactionary, perpetually furious, conspiracy theorists and occasional neo-fascists over on Redvee so much the better

Yep I like this signing, very glad we've got it over the line. I'm thinking 2 year contract means either a) there are still question marks over recovery from injury, or b) Bentley wants to see Leeds continue to make progress because he's worked hard to become part of a top SL side or c) he is holding his candle for NRL after 2 years still.

We have a great pack developing - very "Leeds-like" with home-grown young lads developing and learning together. In fact said it before but I think this pack has the potential to be the best we've ever had. Maybe not the talismanic Peacock in there but for me this set could become pretty fearsome.

If Prior stays, we have a serious pack for next season.
Right up there with the top 2.
But we need investment in the backs - a 6, a winger and possibly a FB.
If we do that we could well be back up there challenging.

I think a 6 is a given. The question is who - we really need some quality there to complement Gale if we're serious. This is not a signing to go bargain basement on, although of course we have financial issues to deal with.

Other than that maybe a player who can cover FB and wing well. Pace and quality. I'm reasonably happy then - barring further injuries.

Get the right coaching in to add some impetus for 2022 and I honestly think we are back at the races again. This side still won't reach it's peak for another few years but even now I think they can rattle some cages.

agree with all of that Jim. from reading about the deal for Bentley i think we're not over committing given his injury. He talks about wanting to help win Leeds trophies for many years to come so that sounds long term to me !

Really liking the look of our pack, if we can keep Tetevano for the next number of years leading them we will be in a good place. Just need that 6 for next season now and retain or replace Prior. If Walker and Newman come back strong no need for another back imo, maybe just a winger

Good news. Back row / loose forward positions look tasty and young. So much potential. In the forwards if Prior stays I would not look anywhere else other than 6 and wing/FBack. Key is to get them all fit now. I suggest Martin will depart but that’s more positive than negative as it means we play our young pack every week enabling them to gel as a unit. Gale is a good kicker and potential cover in that area with new 6. All we need now is some live rugby lol.
