Do we really need to finish in the top 8? The only trophy we stand a chance of winning now is the Challenge Cup, so I don’t really see what it matters whether we’re top 8’s or middle 8’s. In fact I’d quite like us to play away games in Toronto and Toulouse.

Is that just because you want some genuine must win games?

A few weeks back I was more interested in bottom eights than top eights. Now, I am genuinely worried about how poor we are and what could happen. I really hope we sneak in top eights, even if lose all seven of those games.

We have to finish tenth to play Toronto away, however would have Toulouse away if they finish second.

Wholeheartedly agree. Against Sts we had a weaker team on paper, including no specialist halfback and a 17 year old sub who didn't play, and yet we competed and probably should have won. Compared to that, our performances against Huddersfield, Cats and especially Wigan have stunk the joint out. Whilst I think BM should leave sooner rather than later, just like in 2016 a number of players are currently 'stealing a living' to nick a phrase from tvoc.

The only players who can't be criticised here are the younger ones. In his press conference Bm alluded to them struggling as they're having to play every week, but from as far as I can tell its not the kids who are the problem as much as some of the cruising, couldn't care less senior players.

On a serious point though...isn't/wasn't the plan to have the full new South Stand including the seated area open for the first home game of the 8's???

In the above scenario GH might ask for Toronto being the first home fixture to mark the occasion?

During the middle 8's. Not necessarily the opening game.

Yes I know not the opening game but I thought the plan was the first home game so depending on progress we could always ask RFL for say first 2 games to be away if it wasn't going to be ready beforehand

I'm not sure we would. momentum, both ways, is a massive thing. we only have momentum going one way. that's down
