I just wanted to say how impressed I've been by Matt Parcell this season.
In attack & defence he's been a revelation.
Has to be a candidate for MoS.

Matt Parcell, Joel Moon and Mitch Garbutt have been our 3 best this season IMO. Parcell and Moon could both be man of steel candidates, although I don't think either will win it.

Parcell should be in the top 3 for MOS but I don't think he will. Cas are at least going to have 2 in there, maybe all 3.

Ben Murdoch-Masila has to be a contender too.

Forget man of steel improve his contract quickly before Australia probably Melbourne come calling. Definately the next Cameron Smith. Make him captain for next season

Most people assume due to the increase in the Aussie salary cap ,that the days of top class players coming over are finished. Just shows you if you try hard enough you will discover players like Matt. Also the Huddersfield full back until his injury looked pretty good.
The problem will be to hold on to these players, no doubt matts performances will have been duly noted back in Australia.

Enjoy it while we can. He's gona be in Oz next year no doubt.

You never know, we may get another year out of him. He will be on good money and if he is enjoying himself, which he seems to be, he might not be in such a rush to return he is only 24 and has plenty of time to establish himself back in NRL.

Whatever happens, he has been a good find at short notice and it's safe to say we wouldn't be where we are without him this season. Hopefully he can stay fit for the rest of the year as he is key to any chances we have of silverware.

He's been better than anyone could've hoped. He's definitely on his way to becoming one of the best overseas we've had.

He signed a 3 year deal didn't he? I know contracts seemingly mean nothing these days but surely he wouldn't be heading back with 2 thirds of his contract left.

GH wont get burned again like he did last year with SEG this contract will be cast iron

How is Segayaro doing back in Oz?
I don`t think I have seen him play yet.

He got injured in one of his first games back.

Broke his arm in his 3rd appearance and has been out since early April, on the brink of returning though.

Parcell doesn't strike me as the type to do 'a Segeyaro' though and wouldn't just leave us in a mess at short notice. That's not to say he'll definitely see out his 3 years but at least it'd be more likely done right with him asking to go at the end of a season whilst giving us plenty of time to find a replacement and not running off in the off season.

Where has this rubbish about Parcell leaving come from? Not everyone is like Segeyaro!

Pretty obvious he'll be leaving though innit? Blokes class + young.

I've already resigned mesen that he's off at the end of the year to soften the blow when it inevitability happens.

I really bloody hope not. First time we've had a real decent hooker since Aiton and hell has it shown this year.

On top of Rumours of burrow retiring and hallas permanent move to bulls. It'd be one step forward three steps back.

World Club series game next year possibly? Wonder if Segeyaro could manage a week back in Yorkshire though? Would be a tasty reaction he'd get from fans and Leeds players if that match did happen.

I bet you would get good odds for that to happen.
Not impossible though and I for one never thought we would be in with a shout.
Still plenty of twists and turns yet to come.

Who'd have thought we'd be in this position after the demoralising defeat at Cas earlier in the season.
Maybe only GH & McDermott who were pilloried on here for even suggesting it after that game.
I must admit that I was highly sceptical after our early season form. Just goes to show.

I backed us to win the grand final at 16/1 after that defeat. I'm fairly confident those odds will have considerably shortened.

Looks like he could be here a lot longer according to the league express, he's bought a house and his family are happy. He wants an upgrade on his contract and I believe he damn well deserves one, he's been the saviour of our team this year! Let's hope that Hetherington realises this and gives him what he wants!
