| Still kicking the easy goals to add to his legacy and thus also making it more difficult for the young pretender to potentially usurp him in his twilight years - with his own personal points record.

| Appreciate that's tongue in cheek.
More seriously I'm pleased to see McD making the tough but correct call to bench Sinny and let sutty settle. Can't have been easy.

| I have to say our coach has made some very astute decisions this year with the old school and we all new it was time to move sinfield from the halls, and his team selection yesterday was spot on. Leaving sinfield on the bench to counter the massive saints pack and stating sings at loose spot on. Also Amblet in the centre another mast stroke. We did look weaker when Burrow came on for Aiton and looked all at sea on the right hand side in defence. The loss of Peacock, sinfield, Kylie already looking reasonably well covered assuming we have signed Rapira for next year. Also while I love Rob Burrow it's almost like we are trying to find a place for him now, he's not the greatest scrum half and his cameo hooking roll is not that great, if it's true Leeds and looking at Houghton then that would make sense, we need a replacement hooked next year if Aiton is staying and Robbie Ward needs more time in the championship to gain more experience as he's not the finished article yet. I think Leeds will offer Burrow a one year deal, but I expect him to move at the end of the season to someone who will offer him a 2 year contract at least. The transitions going well and with Handley we have good utility back prospect who can play centre or winger. If we can beat Warrington next week and Huddersfield away after that, then I feel top spot is secured. If we can maintain our comfortable position at the top of the table we could be in a position to rest players at the end of the season while the rest snap for places. I think next week will be a lot harder than the Saints game and the usual four teams will comfortably make the top four, Wigan Leeds Saints and Warrington.

| I wouldn't be so confident in Warrington. Tony Smith seems to be struggling to find the right half-back combination at the moment, and Chris Hill is having to carry Sims and Asotasi who seem to be over here for a holiday. Add in that Clark hasn't replicated his 2014 form, and they're struggling. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't make the four, particularly if someone like Huddersfield, Cas or Catalans get on a run.

| We have to learn from how Wigan tore Warrington apart down gellings side. Keep ablett and Watkins together and play achurch inside them. Warrington couldn't cope with tomkins/gelling cos of their size and handling.
May have a sneaky fiver on Watkins to bag a hat trick

| I hope we don't see Sinfield and Burrow on the bench together again, it should be one or the other.
Warrington will be a tough game, they played quite well in defeat against Wigan, and in Myler and Patton they looked to have finally found a solid halfback pairing. Add in Ratchford chiming into the line from FB and they have a pretty good spine. I would agree regarding their defense, it looked terrible on the edges but if they manage to get Atkins back at left centre they'll be a lot stronger there, yes, I know he isn't great defensively himself but he at least provides a physical presence that Toby King simply can't at this stage in his development.

I think Sir Kev will be back at 13 against the Wire, We went with three props last night to combat Saints huge pack. Warringtons pack whilst good isn't as big.

Agree. I think Singleton picked at loose was a horses for courses selection (and the correct one too vs Saints away). Reckon Sinfield will start which will help to balance the bench out a bit with Singleton starting from there.

Warrington still have a huge pack with Simms, Hill, and Harrison in the middle, plus Westwood, and Currie in the 2nd row. That's a huge pack also so I wouldn't be surprised to see a similar approach against Warrington. It's not necessarily an approach I agree with.

| I've just noticed next game is Sinfields 500th appearance if he is selected, I wonder if the club are to make a presentation or leave it till the final home fixture? He will of course wear a special 500 app shirt

I'm sure that if he's selected to start next week then the conspicary theory brigade on here (of whice we have several members of) will say it's because it's his 500th appearance and that the club didn't want him to start that landmark on the bench.
On the subject of Sinfield and landmarks and him still kicking. He's now just 22 points away from Gus Risman who is 3rd in the all time list, his only real points landmark left to pass in his time left.

| You would have to be a hard man not to start Sinfield on his 500th game. He has give a lot to the club and he deserves at least that.
If he does start the directive should be to stop him interfering in the half back play otherwise the fluidity it is developing will be lost

| What difference does it make if he starts or on bench? He still makes his 500th appearance when he comes on the pitch.
As long as when on pitch he kicks the goals, as that is the right thing to do as the best kicker.

Personally I think quite a bit. Something distinctly odd about having a captain who is only the field a limited amount of the time. Especially at the start when you are trying to achieve dominance and set a platform for the rest of the game? What is the point of him being the captain? He didn't look over pleased on Friday to be leading the team out and then not starting.
It reminds me of Harry Pilling the Lancashire cricketer who came out to toss the coin in his testimonial game against Yorkshire but played no further part in the game as he was selected.
