| Ryan Hall deserved the Lance Todd for two fantastic individual contributions at vital times. But, in a team performance, the other man who must have been in with a shout but has been much-maligned on here this season (including by me) is the man who did more even than Sinfield this afternoon to organise the team, run the plays, marshall the defence and execute the kicking game. And that's Danny McGuire. He was the main man. Well played.

I thought Danny was mom today and I have been a critic this season but he ran the shoe today. More of the same please.

Yep he got my MOM. As I have said on the other thread no real bad performances. But I have been skeptical of him this year at times but he had a cracker. Thought all our pivots controlled the game well. Also, again as I have said on other tread. Briscoe always gets bagged on here but the back 3 for me offer more than just speed and try scoring. They both cart the ball up with power, win collision, and give the forwards a breather.

| I would have given it to McGuire. However I have no problem with Hall getting it, his overall contribution was excellent as well as his 2 world class trys.
It was a great team performance, and the first 40 minutes was text book final RL. I was a little disappointed we didn't ping a DG over early in the second half but apart from that there wasn't a bad player, even the subs did well when they came on. Hopefully, we can build on this performance and go for the other 2 pots on offer.

Again agree. I am probably being very unfair but I cannot remember kirke much. I remember him getting smashed and driven backwards and I remember one tackle but other than that I can't remember seeing him much. Sure he did more than that just from my memory.
Again I was exspecting Clarke to be a big player for them but for me was third behind rob and even Aiton.

To be fair to 'The Mountain' he did defend well, and smashed a couple of Cas guys in defence, but generally it was a typical Kirke performance. One moment stands out though, and he took the ball in and one of the Cas markers gave him a bit of afters, he seemed to wilt a little bit and couldn't even look the Cas player in the eye. He should have at least given him a Stuart Fielden style glare after he played the ball. He also seemed embarrassed to be lifting the trophy and couldn't pass it on quick enough at the end.
Oh I'm glad you mentioned Aition, I thought he was excellent from the bench, as was Bailey.

Yep he looked good coming on. Again bailey is one I have been critical of this year (justified IMO) but credit where it's due thought he did well today seemed to run in with more purpose than usual and again to the naked eye seemed to make more metre per carry than usual

| McGuire was sensational. Easily MOM in a good team performance. He really wanted that, and you could tell. Great try's from Hall but McGuire just tore them apart.
Anyway can fly back to holiday now.

Agree. I thought McGuire, Burrow, Sinfield & Hardaker were superb. Along with Aiton who added some spark when he came on the players in our key positions really performed. Hall was excellent. Not just in his try scoring but in his runs in our own half too.

Yep I would add all 3 of hardaker, hall briscoe were superb bringing the ball back from our own half. Even Watkins on a few occasions. Always winning collision and making good yards and giving our dads army a breather

| I went for Hall before it was announced. His tries were crucial, and out of nothing. Combined with his damaging runs out of defence (our back 3 were probably the biggest difference). I don't think anyone had a bad game. I would have put McGuire second.

| I thought Hall and McGuire should have shared it both were outstanding.
McGuire seemed to be pretty good in defence too came up with some important tackles, Hall's fend is legendary just seems to get stronger every week.

| Just got home and about to watch the replay. My thoughts at the game were McGuire for MOM, but fully understand Hall getting it. I actually felt a bit sorry for the lad he steamrollered for his first try!! Brutal.

| I honestly would have been happy with 4/5 getting the Lance Todd JP ,Jjb ,Mags ,Hall and Hardaker all stood out for me in a quality Team performance.
Also a shout out to the Coach he repeated his semi final tactical nous with a great game-plan implemented almost to perfection by the lad.

| Hall was my MOM just pipping McGuire who was also superb. Sinfield and Burrow were up there too with impressively cool and controlled performances. But IMO our defense totally blotted out their key attackers for most of the game and was the main reason we came out on top.
Great credit for this must go to our record breaking coach Brian McDermott for another effective game plan and his preparation for the match.. Also great credit should go to JJB, who led our fast line speed and kick chases with such energy and to Ablett and Delaney who were close behind him and JP put in his usual big effort. It was noticeable that our only wobbly bit came when JJB was having a rest.
In what was an excellent performance from the whole team who each fulfilled their assigned roles and stuck to the game plan throughout. All of the subs did ok too but quite why in some folks eyes they rate a mention before our back rowers I do not understand.

| The platform the back three gave us to get up was immense. Hardaker kick return, Briscoe 1st carry, Hall 2cnd carry....watching the replay back its noticeable how many times it would flash up in the top corner saying 3rd tackle 35+ meters gained. It allowed us, particularly in the first half, to dominate field position.
