If BJB wasn't injured I'd be very tempted to play him on the wing in place of Briscoe.
I think the London away game, regardless of the semi result is a good chance to give Sutcliffe a full game at half back and play some of the younger lads.

| I think Kylie has been more effective in his 2nd stint in recent games. I'd start him on the bench with JP and Singleton as starting props.

I would go with that too.I would infact prefer to see kylie giving his all for 10 minutes during JP's breather rather than still being given longer minutes and being average.certainly better than kirke.Singleton can hold his own for close to an hour these days.

It wont happen but that would be who I would go with.
Also re-Briscoe should he be dropped/rotated then it should be Handley who comes in imo Bjb has been pretty poor since his move was confirmed and we should be looking at who will be here next year and beyond!

Briscoe had very good games against Cas and Salford, our previous two games on the trot.
Accepted his second half was bad Friday, but no need to exaggerate.

You must go to different games to everyone else - Tom Briscoe hasn't had a good game since April - he was terrible on Friday. the first try he should have kept hold of it. it wasn't a difficult kick- if he had the knock would not have been an issue.

Yes, because people were not praising him after Cas. Let's not get silly with this rubbish of you must watch a different game. When did you become everyone else though Sal to speak on behalf? Against Cas he was extremely good, saving Watkins time and time again in the second half.
I already said he had a bad second half Friday. But that doesn't excuse ignoring the Cas and Salford games.

| Thought he did ok against Salford and Castleford but then again he is an international winger and should be doing ok.
Apart from his first few games for us he has done very little to suggest he will get back into the international set up for a long time.
How on earth McGuire and Kirke can get into the starting 17 is beyond me.
Maybe Handley will be given a go against the Broncos.
Funny season this one as we will probably be 4th after today's round instead of top after we should have beaten Bradford on Friday.

There is reason why nobody is praising him - because he wasn't very good - only you. As I said you seem to pushing against the general view. His effectiveness in the collision is nowhere near what it was earlier in the season and under the high ball his fragility is truly exposed as we witnessed in the first half on Friday. Something you appear not have seen.
Briscoe is a pet player of yours like Sinfield and that clouds your judgement.

Strange with Briscoe how arguably his two worst performances this year, Friday and away at Castleford have been when he's been moved over to the left to accommodate BJB on the right. Whilst wingers (and centres) do have preferred sides, I'm certain Briscoe spent most of his Hull career playing the left side so should be more comfortable there than what he's looked so far.
I said before I don't want Briscoe moved sides to accommodate the back-up (the first choice winger should always get the priority) and like you mentioned the games against HKR and Cas he was showing some signs of improvement.
However dropping him for BJB from now on might be a non-starter as that might've been the last time we see BJB in a Leeds shirt if the injury he sustained rules him out for several weeks.

Briscoe
Watkins

McGuire

Burrow
Peacock
JJB
Ablett
Delaney
Aiton
Leuluai
Bailey
Walters
Tempted to start with Burrow at 9 as maybe we should try go out for the quick start like we did vs Wigan in 2012 semi. Warrington are good front runners in games so let's try and strike early and not be chasing the game. Gone for Leuluai on the bench not because of anything he's done wrong but because it'll add good experience to bring on around 25/30 mins whereas our subs often fail to do so. Also Aiton can come on and sure up that middle defence.

Obviously sarcasm straight over your head there.
They were praising him, and rightly so. There is a minority, you included, saying otherwise.
I don't have pet players, never have and never will. If someone plays poop I say it, if some one plays well I say it.
Hero worship like your little Danny doesn't come in my book.
By the way I called for Briscoe to be replaced weeks ago, he was playing 5h1te. He played very well against Cas, and someone would have to have some agenda to say otherwise. I would politely suggest opening the eyes next time maybe.

| Briscoe had improved of late, I wouldn't say he was playing very well but he had improved and put in some decent displays. Saying he "saved Watkins" is, of course, OTT hyperbole as one might expect but despite your efforts to undermine your own point Gotcha you do, on this occasion, have one!
That said, on Friday he was woeful and I am not just referring to his gaffes. Sal is on the money about Briscoes reluctance to take contact.
His overall body of work this year has been distinctly below average. A modern day John Basnett, given what we thought we were signing and I am a little disappointed BJB will be making way for him. Still think, overall, he is a far better player than BJB and hope he regains his form and confidence to show that.

He saved Watkins numerous times after poor misses in second half against Cas. Watkins was injured and shouldn't have being on pitch for second half, and it telled. He has an hip injury that might mean he doesn't see season out yet.
Briscoe had Carney in his pocket in that game.
Glad to see you agree on the "of late". I can not understand how anyone can say he was playing poorly against Cas and Salford.

| Have you got anyone missing from what would be your 1st choice 17?
We have Ben Evans definitely out & Ben Currie is having a scan on a knee injury. Other than these 2 we are at full strength.

Should be about full squad. BJB picked up an injury on Friday and is unlikely to be fit, but I doubt he'd have been picked anyway.
Peacock (back) Ablett (elbow) Moon (knee) missed Friday but nothing to suggest they won't be fine for Saturday. Suppose the only one who could have a shot of missing out that might've been in contention is Bailey as he still seems not to be ok.
Would be very surprised if the starting 13 isn't this
Hardaker
Briscoe - Watkins - Moon - Hall
Sinfield - McGuire
Leuluai - Aiton/Burrow - Peacock
JJB - Ablett
Delaney
Bench is less clear cut, Burrow/Aiton will be one and then any three from Singleton/Kirke/Walters/Bailey/Sutcliffe/Achurch/Ward
