| Well it was like a friendly yesterday , the Leeds fans split into 3 sections was ridiculous for a start , but the lack of noise and support from the home supporters in there popular stand was quite unusual for a H.K.R outfit .
The new stand for me was dissapointing and dont go on about away supporters getting wet through when it rains at Headingley because only the back 2 or 3 rows at H.K.R will stay dry with that roof plus you can at least stand behind the sticks at Headingley not be pushed out on to the bloody touchline and home support being given the central areas. The view was pretty ordinary to say the least although not helped in the first half by the sun.
Regarding the game Leeds did what they had to do , they wore H.K.R. down in the first half and played more expansive in the 2nd , Moon and Watkins will always cause problems given plenty of ball , Peacock was again fantastic and should be given another contract extension, Danny looked good, what a shame his pace is not what it was 10 years ago or Leeds would be a shoe in in my opinion for trophies . Along way to go and dissapointments to come but i for one would not swap squads with any other team. As for H.K.R without Dobson i'm afraid its going to be a long old season and i would very much doubt a top 8 place

| The seats were a little snug to say the least. I spent the entire match with my arm round my misses - not as some sort of romantic gesture but purely because I could fit in the childlike seats.
It reminded me of when you go to a parents evening and your child's teacher makes you sit in one of the kids chairs.
Apart from that I thought it was ok - they could do with somewhere to put your drink down on the concourse but that's just nit picking.

| I thought the new stand was spot on. The concourse was good and the bars were well staffed with very little queuing time. My only negative would be as has been suggested if arriving really early there was no seating/tables to place a drink down and the toilets got a tad busy at half time. But that's nitpicking.
As for the seating area the seats seemed a bit short, like you were almost perched on a ledge. However the view was fine. I was a. Little concerned being on row C that we'd be rather low down but we weren't and it was a decent view.
As for the splitting up if fans I don't think you can blame hull at all. The centre seats were designated for their home fans being that behind the sticks is the best location. I'm sure the seats behind the sticks at Headingley are predominately our fans also. The demand from leeds was probably higher than they expected too hence having to open up additional seats away from the bulk of Leeds fans for us to have. I'm sure it's a learning curve but most teams travelling to HKR this season will probably not draw as big a crowd as we did, and for the Hull FC match I'm sure they have plans in place for their rabble.

| £22 to stand behind the dug-outs in "The Well" and only see half of the game-not very good is it. Anyone with smaller kids in there wouldn't have seen anything.

OTOH his game management and defence are a lot better than they were a decade ago. I just hope he has an injury-free season.

The wooden seats in the best stand at Headingly are much smaller than the one in the Rovers' new stand.

| I thought the new stand was good by comparison, the concourse was spacious, the beverage queue moved quickly (although I rarely queued because conveniently the same time I polished a bottle off, the guy with the backpack full of fresh ones happened to walk past at the same time )
The seat space, for me, I thought was good as I have sat in tighter spaces in a sports stadium.
The view was good (from row N at least). I did find it a tad strange the stand didn't have direct turnstile access as opposed to entering from the side of the ground. Toilets were arguably in demand, unless you go a couple of minutes before the half time hooter.
In response to thread title, the atmosphere was good from our section. The home crowd was fairly quiet for the majority of the game BUT to be fair their team didn't give them much to shout about other than the single try scored. I've been to Headingly where we ourselves have been quiet for large parts of a game.

| I thought it was fine too - the atmosphere was better than most games at funereal Headingley in recent times, just not as noisy as it has been at New Craven Park in most of our games there - the way things turned out on the field probably dictated that.
The arrangements in the new stand were good, and room in the seats OK. Why on earth does the OP think Hull KR should have bothered to ensure the Leeds fans were all together? Rightly, the centre sections of the stand are reserved for home ticket holders. Most away teams probably won't spill over from more than one side of the stand anyway.
All in all a great improvement on the previous setup.

Yeah... and it's not even a stand, it's a terrace.

I wouldn't say it was self-explanatory, all Premiership football grounds have stands but you can't stand in any of them (well technically you could stand simply by not sitting down, but you know what I mean). Our North Stand is all seating as well.
It's the Western Terrace by the way, if we're being really picky.

| The level of prickery was certainly less in the new stand at HKR than it is in the South Stand at Headingley.

| Got to say the view we had was absolutely pants, we may as we'll have been in the opposite end with the kids holding binoculars. We had tickets from the original allocation in block A. Whoever thought it was a good idea to build a new stand 20 yards wider than the pitch wants their head looking at. We had a great view of heads in The Well and the side of the West Stand. It seems to me HKR were more concerned about buildings for everyday use rather than match day spectators. As for the A road running between us and the pitch, god knows why that's there. Maybe they were expecting access for a Sherman tank at some point. They should have built an extra block of toilets where block A currently stands judging by the queues at half time. All in all, a right load of crap. Architects eh ?
