I have just got back from watching the worse ever performance by a Leeds side in at least twenty years, they were terrible, they had nothing upfront, the backs looked liked they had not got a clue. This kind of defeat has been coming, yes we have won the last two grand finals but they were due to stringing four results together.

It has been clear for years we needed new faces up front, but nothing done. The person who should have been the future of our front row was ripping up trees for souths on Thursday Mr Burgess, old age is rapidly catching up n the legend of McGuire. Sir Kev is not and never been a half back he is a lose forward. The forwards should have been improved in the close season, where is the replacement half back.

We lose Zak, where the cover, the coach switches one of our best attacking options in Watkins to the full back, he is not up to the job, but that is not the lads fault. We have Vickery on the wing who it is clear his team mates have no faith, because he is never passed the ball.

The team needs radical surgery now and it is clear the coach is not up to it, GH must attack now, before we struggle to finish in the top eight. I will say it again the Leeds side tonight was a disgrace

Yet we beat St Helens last week and only narrowly got beat by Melbourne the week before

We got what we deserevd and whilst i admit we didn't help ourselves across the board coaches and players we should'nt be calling for the Coach to go 5 games in.
I personally had the same opinion the year before last but we came good and again last year we put out some real dross but won the WCC and the GF.
Changes will hopefully come but not wholesale and i doubt they'll include the coaches so kick the dog ,sulk for a day or two and take the loss on the chin then we move on.

I'm pretty sure they'll be bothered. They've made it very clear they want to improve on regular season performances, and that won't go down well. While we shouldn't be calling for the coaches head, we shouldn't just accept performances like that, just because we think it'll be all right in the end.

Could be a strange season , saints looked a different side and really put the wire away quite convincingly .
Next weeks Wigan match looks to be very interesting ,which rhinos side will turn up the one with the aggressive defence as per the hull and the saints match. Or tonight's below par performance . Anyway plenty of work for our coaching staff to do.

A bit early to be calling for his head but that was absolutely awful tonight.

Aye, there were literally twenty things I would have rather have been doing 5 mins into the 2nd half when it was clear our completion rate wasn't going to improve.

The players were amateurs tonight and that is disrespectful to amateurs.

At the end of the day despite what they say, paying spectators AREN'T 'entitled' to a certain performance.......it would be nice if they got one, but they aren't 'entitled' to one.

Yes they are - they are paying to watch elite sport - they should be entitled to see elite players being able to do the basics at least i.e. catch a ball and tackle. This is entertainment nothing more, if you went to a concert and the singer couldn't remember the words or the guitarist the cords you would be asking for your money back. As spectator you are not entitled to a win or flash rugby but you are entitled to the basics at least.

I may have become more relaxed after night sleep after last night performance. But I stick to the basic point of what I was saying. Leeds were not good enough last night, over the last two years there have been far to many performances like this. Yes we have won the GF for the last two years, that has happened because a group of players have been able to win four games in the row. The side is getting very old and needs radical surgery. I do not believe Mcdermott has the ability to do this.

I would say the basic thing we got wrong was the tactics. With Thaler playing such a "skinny" 10 metres and defences up so quickly, it was crying out for decent kicks through or over advancing defences. Huddersfield utilised such tactics and executed them well. The flat, crash ball against a stifling defence in poor conditions led to countless mistakes and little pressure or territory. Disagree - that is what elite players train for - same as musicians, to be able to perform when the pressure is on. They should be able to do the basics passing and catching no matter how many guys are around should be a given - most of the time at the point of catching no opponent is near - no excuse

According to that theory Lionel Messi would never miss a penalty, Tiger Woods should never miss a 6 inch putt and an olympic long jumper would never foul jump.
