Any one any idea who holds the record for scoring the quickest hatrick in a game while playing for leeds

McGuire scored a pretty swift one in the 70-0 win over Saints. No idea if it's close any records though! Took him less than 10mins I think

I think it was 9 minutes


IIRC Sinfield played stand off with McGuire at scrum half and Burrow coming off the bench. Oh how times have changed.

What a night that was. Anyway, it's on the tube of you under 'Leeds Rhinos 70 v StHelens 0 ', sadly without commentary, but McGuire's third try came immediately after his second as Stains kicked off, Bai broke through and passed to Danny for him to score. I think it will take some beating for speed.

Although I wouldn't rule out Offiah or Edwards in either of their ten-try feats.

It always makes me laugh when I see Fozzard trying to chase Bai as he breaks through, I assume it's the same try I'm thinking of anyway.

McGuire got a pretty swift hat-trick at home to the Bulls in 2004 as well if I am remembering right. Probably not quite as quick as the Saints one, but I think it was the first 3 tries that day.

You're not but nevermind. McGuire has never scored a hat-trick V Bradford at Headingley. McGuire's first try hat-trick V Bradford was at Odsal in 2010 - his only other one V them is mentioned below.



The one and only time McGuire has scored Leeds' opening three tries in any game was this season at Manchester Magic - he went on to score Leeds' opening four and arguably it should have been five had he not fluffed a put down after doing all the hard work.

I'm pretty sure as they all scored at our end very quickly, every time they kicked off we came straight back and gave it to Ali. the rest is history

Mark Cain did it for York City Knights against Workington in a 70-10 win in the 2004 National League 2 Play-Offs.

He's the last player to do it then. And the only Super League player to do it.
