Although all the Leeds players put in very good performances in the GF on Saturday and Sinfield has been praised quite rightly as man of the match, a special mention should be made of our pack who were the engine room for the victory.

JP who not many weeks ago was being written off by some (or subbed off by others) showed what a remarkable player he is. He made 209 metres and an astonishing 32 carries on top of 30 tackles and was our 2nd top offloader. What a player....what a man.

Our workaholic 2nd rowers Delaney & JJB made 41 and 38 tackles and 126m and 105 metres respectively backed up well by Bailey and the rest of the pack.

So who will get the other 8?

Webb for starters.

Griffin almost certainly, then perhaps Moore (how many did he play).

I think every player who made an appearence in the play offs should get one. Hauraki, Clarkson, Webb should be in line for one too. I'd say give one to Brian McDermott but I'd suspect he wouldnt want one

granted he didn't get much game time on saturday, but think grif would be pretty annoyed if he didn't get one

Interesting facts from the printer. Smiths fall from grace with his try and ring totals is a complete mystery . Although he is still in Super League his loss of form was baffling . On a brighter note Hardakers two rings for a very young player is wonderful. Also a major plus for a trophy winning side like Leeds is young promising players will always want to join the club. Obviously they will be potentially in line for major trophy honours.

Regarding smith, upon his return he didn't look 'rugby league fit' but it was during the season so he just soldiered on.

Then he got a pre season for 2011 but by now there were other players and he never seemed to get a consistent run in the team and when he did play he was....meh.

Maybe also he had issues in his life off the field at the time I don't know.

I think he'll do alright at wakefield but he doesn't seem to get back his 08-09 magic.

Yeah I know but I'd have to guess who got the extra rings as nobody can be sure who recieved them. Plus the likes of Jordan Tansey, Ashley Gibson and Simon Worrall (18th man in '09) will probably all have rings but I don't think anybody would really think of or refer to them as GF winners.

G1's right - just make an A4 list of players who have left Leeds since 2004, together with a 1-line summary of 'where are they now'. Then present to all players entering contract negotiations making noises about potentially moving on.

BTW, has anybody mentioned that Sinfield broke the club record for goals in a season this year?

I'd also add that I don't want to jinx him by raising it, but one of the best things about this year has been Watkins seemingly finally getting over his major injury issues. Of all our young players he's the one with the most potential IMO.

Also Brett Delaney has broken the curse of the number 15 shirt.
