Hull played well and deserved to win...

but, every time I see this guy ref I end up shaking my head, whoever is playing. He is a laughing stock among players, coaches and fans and how he continues to get games is beyond me.

Some poor decisions against both sides, doesn't detract from Leeds dropping off tackles and poor discipline.

Yep, we were too slow and pedestrian to win, and Hull's defence (especially in the middle of the field) was excellent. So a fully deserved win for Hull.

But Child was shocking.

I have no issue with the result today, more with continuing inability to watch a decent, fair game that this muppet referees.

Hull played like their lives depended on it.

Bar huddersfield at home, we've had a few of these recently.

We all saw the way saints played after getting rid of simmons, then bradford potentially playing their last ever game, ever, then we come up against a hull team desperate to prove a point after bending over for wigan, with 2 weeks to prepare.

Abit like we were against catalans a few weeks ago, sometimes you just come against a team with more umph in their performance.

He's inept, simple as, end of.

I would'nt say we were slow and pedestrian, hull just on top of their game in terms of agression and speed.

Any other team in super league would have had to play near their top gears to have been able to win that game.

I agree child was pretty poor, and cost us one try wrongfully ruling smiths pass forward, he did make a couple of poor calls against hull also, but at the end of day hull deserved the win.

Too many times after we score a try ( not just in this game) we make a sloppy error or give a penalty away, after bish scores, we get pinned for obstruction, straight after abbo scores, Lunt knocks on resulting in putting pressure on ourselves, when we should be applying to the oppistion.

As a team we looked pretty tired in parts, saying that i thought JP and delaney put in a great effort.

I try to avoid having a go at refs after a loss because it makes you sound very bitter (which I am, I just don't like sounding it) but if you're going to call a forward pass on a break like that you want to be absolutely sure that the ball hasn't gone at least half a yard backwards or you'll look an utter tit. Before anyone points out that our opener came from a forward I'll pre-emptively counter by saying that Hull got away with half a dozen similarly forward passes.

Hull did deserve it, but with a better ref we might have got a win we didn't deserve.

Agree hull were by far the better team and well worth their win. We looked as you say pedestrian and knackered.

Regarding child's he ain't even a good linesman. Rubbish. Rubbish decisions both ways

I think he made poor decisions for both Leeds and hull

I'm sure he did, it's just when you're busy yelling at the TV because of very very stupid calls that cost Leeds it's difficult to be in any way balanced and even handed.

I also think our disallowed try should have been BOD.

He was poor for both teams, some excellent posts and being gracious in defeat which is great to see.

Thought our pack dominated yours from the off.

When he came on last night after Phil Bentham went off I thought he did very well and was very supprised. I personally think he is possibly the worst ref I have ever seen. I was over the moon when he left our league for yours. They are all Cummings and Red Halls muppets when all said and done. I wish some one with a bit of money and clout would take these clowns to court.

Last night was Hicks - he isn't much better, but he has potential.

Childs is as consistently bad as I have ever seen.

I hate people who blame refs for everyone but he is beyond a joke.

Hull were marvellous tonight and it's nice to see genuine Hull fans on here, not gloating. We were below par and the result was about right.

However none of that should take away from an absolutely inept refereeing performance.

Best side won. Child is one of the more consistent referees. He consistently ruins games and tonight was no exception.

You did and fully deserve the two points. Altho we came up short i thought when we did get in a good postion we looked dangerous, we just didnt apply enough pressure, something that happens when your pack is not on top

FWIW I thought our first try was a try, momentum and all that. The Tickle no try was right but I'd have had no issue with it being given.

However the forward pass from Smith to Webb, the penalty against Smith, the JJB knock on etc, etc.

I thought JJB, Mcguire and Peacock were excellent for you, Peacocks offloads caused us all sorts of problems.

Webb who is still a decent player needs to sort his attitude out or he will cost you games.

No need to overreact. Hull deserved their win.

Thought their forwards set the tone for them but we didn't make them work hard enough for their tries.

Think that sums it up for me he didn't effect the result, hull deserved the win, but he did effect the enjoyment of watching the game, always gives far too many penalties and ruins games as a spectacle for me

So, to summarise, all the decisions that went in Leeds' favour were correct, but the ones in Hull's favour were most assuredly not.

He can be mouthy, he is a passionate guy, he had a solid game assisting three of our tries. I thought everyone on your side played well a real team effort

Any fans gloating (and I am sure they will be a few later) need to have a long look at themselves.

Things are certainly looking better on and off the field but we still have some way to go to get to the likes of Leeds and Wigan,
