| I know it was against a weak wakey side but there were some good performances.
Not sure if it was just me but thought smith looked good at FB and the team seemed better for me with him instead of Webb. Some good passes, good support runs and looked steady under bomb, although not under much pressure
There was some good aggression from the forwards, Delaney is looking strong, some good runs from Jjb and some good aggression from Bailey.
Ali had a good game good to see him go out well at home for Leeds.
Was also fairly impressed with Amor, looked quite well

| And the buderus played well, the pass for hall last try was right infront of me and was pretty impressive.
Mcshane didn't get too much time but looked lively. Didn't see why he was sin binned though, post in the way

| I thought Smith looked "off the pace" at times especially when they got some short kicks into our in goal or behind the defensive line.
The coachs treatment of Mcshane was p!$$ poor again with very little gametime (sin bin aside).
Some very good trys scored and Ali showed why kirke should never of been picked this year when Ali was available.
Our discipline was pants again 2nd half although Thaler made some "unusal calls" at times.
Amor went ok and took his try well.

| I thought Smithy was certainly no worse than we get every week from Webb to be fair to him, and Delaney was impressive with plenty of yardage gains for the team all evening. Macca was his usual self and didnt put a foot wrong, (apart from being sin-binned!). An all round good team performance, which will kick-start the confidence with the play-offs to come.
Oh and Ben Jones-Bishop is a class act in the making, how well did he take his try tonight?!!!!

| I would like to see Smith stay at Full Back because he's a smart player who can pop up at the right times to win games. Webb should be given a go at hooker.

Jesus mark, what game were you watching last nigh?
Smith was better than any other player on the pitch. I fully accept it was seriously gash oppossition, but Webb hasn't put a performance like that i all season.
McShane was harahly treated by the ref, but not by the coach. Other than one good run where he wasted the ball at the end, he looked well out of it.
We were not bad disciplined either. The reffing was absolutely shocking, trying to even things up at all times.
And come on with the Kirke agenda. Great to see Ali a final time, but he,s a poor excuse for the Ali we all know and love.

| Poor advert for an elite competition - Wakey were abysmal.
You can see why Kear will be out of work and looking for a director of rugby job , away from the cutting edge, along with Noble and McRae.
We put some nice moves on but Wakey gave us so much ball and time the game turned into a practice session.
Agree re McShane - Hood was 18th man last night let's hope he gets a game next week at Huddersfield
Ryan Hall - great hat trick - he has an incredible scoring ratio, Delanney was good again, JJB superb and McGuire for a man supposedly finished at this level had at least 5 assists
Well done to the Wakey fans who turned up in impressive numbers to add to the atmosphere.

| Gotcha ,Where i stand in line with the 20m line towards the Western Terrace at least 3 kick throughs went down there and all 3 times Smithy looked off the pace defensively that's what i watched and exactly what i posted.
As for Smithy been the best player on the pitch maybe he was in your opinion but for me he was way behind Abblett ,Peacock ,Mcguire ,Hall and Ali.
The kirke comment was a fair point was he missed?
Would Ali of offered much more this year when fit?
We can exchange differing opinions as long as you like but i know what i was watching and i stand by the points i've made.
How much game-time did Mcshane get?
A copmplete waste of a bench spot that could've gone to 1 of the u20's for the time he was involved.

| He might have looked off pace in defence if honest it wasn't something I noticed. What I was impressed with regarding smith was in attack his passing and distribution and support runs. He just looked more energetic than I have seen from him in a long time

That was one of those calls when the whole ground are left wondering WTF???
Ferdy my Smith comments are purely down to his defensive efforts when they kicked through he looked slower to react ,i'm not saying hang him or even ditch him just pointing out what i saw.

It's that kind of attitude that makes you get up people's noses, Can't you disagree without the hyperbole?
FWIW I think he's right.
Quote Smith was better than any other player on the pitch. '" He was a million miles behind several Leeds players such as Ablett, JJB. Hall and a few others. Smith is so pedestrian these days it's scary. His "effort" to cover the kick for Tony's try was shocking, he gave a few murder balls and yook several wrong options after fielding kick offs.
Quote I fully accept it was seriously gash opposition, but Webb hasn't put a performance like that i all season.'" Thank goodness.
Quote McShane was harahly treated by the ref, but not by the coach. Other than one good run where he wasted the ball at the end, he looked well out of it.'" Maybe that is because he's out of form and rhythm having been hrarshly dropped by the coach a few months back when he looked to be finding his feet?
Quote And come on with the Kirke agenda. Great to see Ali a final time, but he,s a poor excuse for the Ali we all know and love'" It's not an agenda. It's a perfectly valid opinion. I think they've done the right thing in allowing Ali to move on but if I had to choose one or the other to play interchange prop Ali offers (and has offered in his few cameos there this season) a million times more than Kirke offers.

| Wakefield were beyond abysmal which made Leeds look a little better than they actually were.
Thought Smith was OK, Delaney is without doubt a second rower and McShane looked dangerous in the little time he had on the pitch.
JJB and Ablett worked hard and McGuire is staring to get back into his stride.
Hall’s finishing was excellent and it was good to see JP go over.
IS there anyone that hasn’t scored this season (tvoc)?

Indeed, the joys of the SL licensing system. Perhaps if promotion and relegation had been in place instead, Wakefield might well have felt the need to turn up last night as a matter of urgency.

It did occur to me prior to last nights flat-track fixture that certain players would suddenly find their form and Danny McGuire immediately sprang to mind. I also assumed it was golden opportunity for 0.83 to improve upon his 0.83, particularly at full back, though I doubt that 0.83 will be ousting Danny McGuire (or anyone else) from a half back role anytime soon. I forget which village idiot suggested that on here in the first place.

According to another village idiot 0.83 was by far the best Leeds player on last night's flat track.
