They beat us there last season - It's hardly a season defining, certainly not at this stage of the competition.

Can't see it, but that would depend on whether McClennan wanted a challenge or an easier ride. It's quite plain to see to most that several of the Rhino's successfull players are now onto their end games, rather than the sprightly every improvers we were previously seeing.

That makes the job much harder going forward, unless you are a coach who gets the best out of players, or unless the management have any plans for changes.

McClennan is out of contract at the end of this season. It's probably a bit early to interpret that as 'talk' of him leaving but blogging journalists don't need much else to drum up a story.

Wigan are not that great - anyone see the tries they leaked against Cas? Certainly not the stuff of champions, you wouldn't see Leeds or Saints defend like that when in form.

If it were late August time i'd be concerned but i'll prefer to see where we are then with hopefully a full squad(minus Watkins) on the paddock.
As for the Bluey exit the same was said of Smith throughout 06 Iirc when times were tough especially after the CC and play-off exit.

With Blueys current contract ending at the end of the year, I wouldn't mind seeing someone else at the helm. Not that Bluey is doing much wrong, I just feel a new coach could give Leeds a kick up the backside better than what Bluey does.

I've not seen Wigan playing anything like play off football that you need to win finals! they tried to shut the dulls out of the game with tight hit up sets and lost!

Mate, we've played playoff football for the last 2 seasons being one game away from th GF both times. We are playing [umuch[/u better so far this year. I know you think rugby league begins and ends with Leeds, however, keep posting this stuff. Just don't be surprised when a lot of it ends up as sig material.

I don't think hit up sets and a kick, tight play offs football is something Wigan do well! in previous seasons it hasn't gone well. And against the bulls when you tried to shut em out you feel appart! I didn't say the team can't do it I've just not seen it yet.

and agree re Catalan but they were always chasing the scoreboard. we amassed our Lead that they couldnt catch whilst bird was on the field.

What he was trying to say is that the Wigan team vs Cas wasnt in-form, it was a lathargic performance with just enough effort put in to win the game with relative comfort. If the game was closer or it was against a better team no way would Wigan concede soft tries like that.

Bigging up or dismissing a teams championship chances in March would seem to be tempting a big fat slapping come the middle of October.

Leeds fans should be wary of assuming that a record breaking 3 wins in a row means anything to anyone else competing against us, and fans of other teams who have begun frequenting our board to talk themselves up should observe the lack of Saints posters willing to join in. At least those guys are showing common sense. I wonder why?

If I were a Wigan fan (apart from the fact that I would be massively dissapointed with how my life had turned out), I would be thinking no matter how well we may have played a couple of times this year, we still haven't won a Championship since 1998 and managed to lose a 20 point lead to one of the worst Bradford sides ever to play in SL. That would have me worried. But you never know, after all there's only 6 months of the season left so we are nearly there.
