FIVE Leeds Rhinos scholarship players have been named in the England Youth squad for the forthcoming European Nations Cup.
John Bateman (of Bradford Dudley Hill), Ben Finder (Wetherby Bulldogs), James Saltonstall (Siddal), Connor Spencer (Hunslet Warriors) and Stevie Ward (Churwell Chiefs) are in line to take part in the tournament in Serbia, which also involves the hosts, France, Wales, Scotland, Russia and European Celts.

my apologies frosties just read your original post that the boys are scholarship players.....A great achievement for all those who have been successful....

These lads still have long way to go before they potentially become household names. Only three other lads from within Yorkshire, good to see we have such a strong representation.

Makes my blood boil this Cas and Wakie schools dominate at every leval right up to under 18 leval but we have none in who selects these teams it is a joke.
