Does anyone have one of these to mount their TV to the wall? I've a 32" and 50" Plasma, both of which I'm wanting to stick on the wall but the price for brackets seems to vary quite a bit.

Obviously some just basically mount to the wall, whilst others tilt and swivel, but why are some £20 and others £250 when they have the same functions? Am I just paying for the name/brand? Or will the £20 ones on Ebay last a few days then send the TV crashing down?

Any help (or links to decent priced products folk already have) would be appreciated....

what type of fixing do you want, I used a simple flat and lock type on a smaller one 17" what could hold a 32" and is ok if you want a swivel that pulls out go for the stiffest one you can get as it will stay in position,
as far as dropping of the wall that is up to the way you fix it

ive got 1 on my wall and it wasnt an expensive one and its been fine and it tilts have a look on ebuyer

A picture hanger and some string is all thats needed should you feel the need to put your tv set on the wall.

For me it would be a wasted effort given that I only get to watch one hour of tv a week

Thats a good idea.

Depending on how quickly the TV and bracket had to be sourced you'll probably still have the rawlplugs and screws attached too.

And some plaster off the wall.

some companies that produce brackets primarily do so for larger electrical retailers who sell them at a high mark up to make up for where there losing margin competing with websites these days. many budget brackets are just as good. richersounds do some good ones i beleive

We have a 32 incch tv on the wall, paid £25 from Tesco. Been on wall for 2 months so far and still solid

It is a bit isn't it ?

I can't imagine why I'd want my TV set to be hanging on the chimney breast above the fireplace or who on earth thought it would be a good idea to put one there in the first place.

Haven't needed to say this to you before,

It just looks a bit 'gimmicky' for me. I have a lovely cottage, I wouldn't want to ruin it.
