In what circumstance, given the existence of the salary cap and a limited squad size, would it be possible to loan out three or four fringe players?

Is Broughton a better option than Ratu?
Could either of them been given a shout against Salford?

I didn't realise he was proposing loaning Watkins and Jones-Bishop out last season. If he was I could have seen some merit in that. Perhaps Watkins could have learned how to play the ball without knocking on. Had to laugh at Hemmings call 'that's what you expect from youngsters.' Is it?

I think sending Broughton out is a relatively wise move. Its only for a month after all. The kid will (Hopefully) get some SL gametime and then return to us a better player for it, up to speed with the step up from reserve grade rugby. Id presume McClennen cannot obviously watch all of Leeds' reserve games and therefore getting him on a pitch and against better and more testing opposition, and where the game will be definately filmed is a good thing. Its not like we do not have enough wingers and centres in our squad (Admittedly not (at current) of the quality we would like) but we do have numbers with Hall, Senior, Donald, Smith, Watkins, Jones-Bishop and Gibson! At the end of the day the lads on loan (so we can recall him) and its only for a month (A short period of time) I say good luck to him, lets get him progressing. I am however hoping that with one outgoing centre/winger may mean one incoming centre/winger

Surely GH will have asked Bluey if Broughton featured in his plans? IF Bluey said no then Bluey must be happy with the depth of his threequarters.

It appears from Friday that Kath has a direct line to Brian enabling her to cut out the 'middle man' altogether.

Yes that's what i was sort of meaning tvoc. Last season we would have been in a better position to do that. With the addition of some experience in the back line + eastwood we could have been able do it

It would be good for them not to have the pressure of playing week in week out for one of the front runners like us which could affect their future in the game. The likes of Ben Jones and Watkins really need to be looked after and not have fans on their backs when they do things wrong.
