Good acoustic cushioning in the roof to deflect the sound down would do the same.
it obviously will not be as load in the new stand due to the low roof, but i never was one for the south stand anyway. unless you got smack in the middle you could not see much in there. i am thinking of going seated in new SS.

| Best piped in sound was at Wakefield, where they didn't just settle for ambient crowd noise to beef up the atmosphere, they had a recorded chant that went 'TRINITY! *clap*clap*clap*'

Sometimes they'd do well just to ignore fans opinions. We're not going to build another 'cattle shed' stand, therefore the atmosphere won't be the same. That's just how it is and people need to accept that.

| Stand up to half way now on the standing area. Sections 1-3 of the standing area are now complete. Concrete cast completed up to section eight. Concrete stair slabs on sections 4-7. Crash barriers now complete up to the half way mark.
Concrete cast in place on the seating area up to section six. Section seven includes the entrance to the wheelchair access on the seating area.
On that basis, the majority of the internal is complete up to half way, just the concrete stair slabs to be placed.
They’ve started to put the protective net up on the roof so the cladding on the roof can be done.

They had similar at odsal. I also recall Hull getting into trouble once when they played pre-recorded chants from the Threepenny Stand. The problem was they played a racist chant (You B B)

| The concrete cast on the seating area section seven now in place.
The majority of the external inside work is done quite quite so don’t be surprised if the full Stand is up for the Catalan game.

| I was in on Saturday enquiring about ticket options - hoping to go to a fair few but unlikely to make them all had I got a season ticket. The only way to get access to individual games is getting a membership at £15 which is like a season ticket card but they then load individual games on to.
As a result I can't really see how they will get anyone other than season ticket holders in. It will also pretty much wipe out 'once or twice a season' people. The last few years I have taken newbies to games from Leeds, London and Scotland and all have subsequently gone again after. This season however there will be no point them going as they first have to get a membership, essentially adding £15 to the ticket price paid.
Is this just a way for this season to cover money lost from reduced capacity or will it be an ongoing thing? It seems a bit naive and cutting nose off to spite the face - ok they get an extra £15 from some people, but taking myself as an example they have got an extra £15 from me, but then lost probably £40 from friends that would have attended a game each but (rightly) won't pay £20 plus £15 for the membership.

No.
Capacity reduced for the development means a £15 membership is needed to secure any tickets that may be left for a home game after season ticket holders are taken in to account. If there are any tickets left they must be purchased prior to the game.

| It will be funny if they will have to become a member first. Presumably they will have to be bought via their team's ticket office (without the fee)?
They have done away with the paper tickets - only access is with the plastic card you have to buy for £15 and then individual games are loaded on to. I had asked if having got a membership you can get a physical ticket for another person but they said no - the +1 would also need to get a card first. Which means my friends from Scotland will not be going this year. Best bet for 'couple times a season' fans is probably doing Magic Weekend half price via a member or season ticket holder, or going to an away game.

Are you sure people won't be able to pay on the gate on the western terrace?
I hooe it is not an ongoing thing that you need a ticket to buy tickets. It really is penny pinching and will put more people off than anything.

I have had a membership ticket like this on seasons were a season ticket was not viable for me, as this years so i will probably buy this membership. That way i get first dips on tickets as a member before general public. i don't think these will be required to just buy tickets in future, but priority also goes to club members first season ticket then these type of membership. if there are any left minus away fand allocation, then they go on general sale. so if you want to be pretty much guaranteed tickets even for 2-3 casual games, you are best to get the membership.

| On Saturday they said you could only get the membership as an option, so asked for clarification and asked 'so if I have a friend wants to come along who isn't a member can they get a ticket or with my membership can I then order one for them (like with a season ticket) and get a physical ticket? I was told they would need a membership too as the game is loaded on to the card.
Which paints everyone in a corner really; you either don't go at all, or pay the fee to then have the option to go. Of course, it could also be possible they gave a slightly skewed answer to try and get more money.
How big will capacity be this year? It will obviously all depend on that and how many season ticket holders have renewed. If it is say 9000 and 8000 then that is maybe 500 on sale to members (setting some aside for away fans). Will 500 people pay £15 each and even if they have, would they all then get tickets, thus removing the chance of any going on general sale?
I suspect not and they might have been answering a question slightly different to what I asked but I guess we will see in 4-5 weeks.
