| I went up to Headingley yesterday to book seats for the two "home" games at Elland Rd & was only able to fill in a quasi-IF form. I could not select a specific area or seat.
When I queried this I was told that seats would be allocated at a later date.
IMV that is simply not good enough so I sent an email complaining about this to the club.
They had the courtesy to call me back today explaining that because it's not our stadium they don't have a seating plan to allow members to pick a specific seat.
I have a slight disability which means I prefer to have an aisle seat.
I have requested this on the form but don't know until I get to the ground if that is what I'll get.
In this day & age when I can book tickets at venues across the globe where I can choose a specific seat or at least check availability I find the club's response poor.
The club has had ample time to obtain full seating plans from Leeds Utd enabling them to allocate specific seats when asked.

if something can ever be done with the western terrace the corners can be filled in and that would add more capacity.
don't think we have had a complete sell our for about 10 years or more not since the decline of the Bulls. so unless we where selling out 80-90% of all home games then its not a problem for the time being. if we can get an all seat western terrace and get capacity up to 23-24k then we could get test matches back again.'" Is this short sightedness or simply being realistic. I suppose sell out SL games are off the agenda and the Rah Rah mob aren’t going to get into 5 figure crowds any time soon.
CC semis don’t get big attendances and we don’t have JPT or CC games to throw into the mix like we once had.
I guess you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

With the test matches though, you won't get Australia as we'd still be too small for that fixtures. NZ a maybe but they can just go to Elland Road if they want one in Leeds and we can't compete with their 35k+. Against any smaller nation then the capacity we're going to have should be ample.
There's WCC's but not guarantees of being involved in them, if they'll be played in England or abroad or if the event carries on at all.

| Slightly less standing, but more seating and corporate hospitality space, so matchday revenue should increase.

Not sure they could. Doing the corners down the Western Terrace you might have the same issues as to why you can't do that stand and looking at an aerial view I don't think their's enough room to do the corner between the South stand and Carnegie, it gets very tight there where the road bends.

| Another small section of the bottom tier added today, this is where the first stairway will be up from underneath he Stand and the first stairwell up to the seating area. This is why the gap on the top tier has been left until this is put in.
Also metalwork around the side of the ground for the panelling.
Live feed for the main stand and the south Stand can be found on YouTube.
It’s coming on very quickly now.

I think it’s an absolute farce the way they’ve done this. For our group we will have to send 40+ numbers over to them to sit together. Not sure why they couldn’t just say ‘which stand would you like to be in?’ And have it unreserved seating.

Doesn't look like it - they've filled in that whole section. If the artists impression graphics are accurate I think the stairs up from underneath will be in the next section along.

That’s correct, got my dimensions wrong and thought cos they only filled half in that it may have been the first one.
Now all filled in at the bottom, just left abit at the top for the stairway to the seating area. More cladding metal work to the side of the ground too today. Top tier now almost filled in.
I don’t expect it to go any longer over the next two weeks. But reckon they’ll finish the whole of the bottom tier up to that point & the roof metalwork before the Christmas break.

| The redevelopment plan has been expanded to now include the demolition of the floodlights once the new stands are complete, to be replaced by lights along the front of the stands.
I'll miss them

Me too. But I still miss the old style ones we got rid of in 1988. (or '87).

Just been told the same, no surprise as it’ll only add to the value of the ground and make it more up to date.

No change overnight. More focus on the North Stand today with getting the foundations complete for the new Stand.

I doubt they will do as you suggest because of cost. They'll want to see if the extra capacity will pay for itself first.

| As pointed out before I don't think you can do them now. How do you properly fill in the corners at the Western Terrace given the size difference between that stand and new ones without it looking like a dogs dinner. Any corners at the West end will still have the complications that the Western Terrace has.
Not enough room to put a corner in between the South and Carnegie and between the Carnegie and North Stand you've got a building that they probably have no interest in demolishing for a corner section that will mostly go unused.
We simply don't need corner sections.

The club haven't said anything about it in a while because nothing has changed to make any comment about it.
