Yes but that’s in place while the north Stand hasn’t got a temporary seating stand, that won’t be there when the Stand is in place.

That thing right on the touch line? Ok for Carnegie to record games to review afterwards, not really good enough for a Sky broadcast. Have to see what the ground looks like when the season is underway, South Stand is coming along nicely. Read that work on the sewage works underneath Headingley caused the North Stand demolition to last a while.
See some temporary dugouts on the South Stand, any idea where changing rooms will be during construction?

That’s correct. That’s now been completed and they are working their way through clearing the north Stand area which should be done by end of play tomorrow.
South Stand is looking much better than it did early days. Expect they’ll fill the gap in the top tier tomorrow and then crack on with the rest.
Should see the whole structure & top tier work by Christmas.

I was rung by the Rhinos yesterday to allocate my seat in the temporary North stand so I assume there will be something in place for the start of the season.
Let's face events like the Open golf are watched and commented on entirely from temporary facilities so Headingley should be a doddle.

| Not on a building site in February they are not. I will not be buying a ticket for a temporary stand plopped on a building site. I will go to the Elland Rd games until the SS is completely open.

I wonder if it would be better playing a whole season away from HQ ?

| Shot up a section of the lower tier in before 12pm this afternoon. Good going that. It’s very interesting watching it change when looking at the live feed on a daily basis.
Also worth noting that the whole north Stand is now clear bar and level, bar the small section next to the pavilion.

| Certainly progressing quicker than I thought. GH must have Kath on site with her leather whip cracking the builders into shape. Be interesting to see how far along it is by the first game at Headingley.

Our first game at home isn’t until 3rd March v Catalan so I won’t be surprised if the full structure is up by then. Obviously without the whole brickwork.

| Another section of roofing added today and more steel on site for further work on the stand. Doesn’t look like much today from the camera but I’m sure there is more gone into it considering it’s the roofing steel.

don't think so I think it will be slightly lower capacity .The new southstand will be bigger because of the seating section

| Me neither.
Its a golden opportunity to revamp the stadiums inherent footprint design flaws, but I suppose it lengthens the build and obvs the cost.

| I'm not too sure how much they could've done given the tight constraints around Headingley.

more corporate boxes and the premieran dining seats in the main stand, lowered the capacity over all slightly but considerable more corperate.
if something can ever be done with the western terrace the corners can be filled in and that would add more capacity.
don't think we have had a complete sell our for about 10 years or more not since the decline of the Bulls. so unless we where selling out 80-90% of all home games then its not a problem for the time being. if we can get an all seat western terrace and get capacity up to 23-24k then we could get test matches back again.

| I am sure as questions will continue to be asked about the Western terrace the club will be also thinking about it ,but given the cost of the present development and the length of time its going to take to pay it off its academic even if they could get planning permission, unless they could get a similar deal to what they have now and lengthen the payoff time.

Yes think that might be 10-15 years down the line minimum. still a bet it gets done before Cas or wakey get the pie in the sky new stadiums.
