Not just them. We switched to the Carnegie seats a couple of season ago, but when the new SouthStand is complete, we'll be looking to move to those seats. |

Will be interesting to see how they manage admission to the new southstand on game days. The current design has only one concourse whereas a previous design had one for standing and one for seating. So for the seated area you enter via the standing terrace. If all standing tickets sell out for a particular game, probably nothing to stop someone from buying a seating ticket and standing up anyway.

Interesting video - it would suggest there will be no corporate facilities in the new Southstand?
The stand itself looks very impressive - very elegant structure compared to the Carneige.

Looks very good but the aerial shot just highlights even more what a shame it is the problems we have we doing something with the Western Terrace. 3/4's of a great stadium. It's the stadium equivalent of having Watkins, Moon and Hall in your three quarters and then rounding it off with Joe Vickery.

Couldn't we buy (or even better exchange some of the North Stand ala Fev) from Wakey or their tin roof which covers the terracing behind the sticks at Belle Vue. That shouldn't impact too much on the houses on the Turnways?

well if its going to take something like 40 years to pay for this present development ,the western terrace does not look like its going to get developed ,I agree it will not look complete. Having said that I may give the seating in the new SS a try providing the lads from the old SS don't do what Leeds UTD fans do in seated areas and stand up .

Looks like corporate capacity will increase, that looks like a big lounge in the new North Stand. Am I right in thinking that the corporate block that includes the legends suite and the exec lounge is not being pulled down? May be there will be some lower cost options?
Overall impression is that the new stands look very nice indeed, we need a solution for the western terrace, but to get one I think the club will need to buy and demolish some houses behind the terrace. Even then there's a big IF, and that's if they can get planning .permnission

The Western Terrace is clearly the worst part of the ground, but with the limited space to work in with the alley and houses directly behind very little can be done about it. It’s mainly used by away fans anyway. Leeds could spend millions buying and demolishing houses to build a better western terrace for the same number of away fans to show up as before, doesn’t seem like a good business move.

yes I thought that even if its done on the cheap flatten it rebuild it and put a roof on it ,but how high would the roof be allowed to go ,or how low would it be allowed ? |
