Those 1500 freebies are just Hudgell's way of getting that record attendance he is gearing towards. Personally I think he's jumped the gun on that one and done himself out of a few quid.

Not sure Neil Hudgell has done himself out of anything really. The new stand and the two usually well attended stands will be what he cares about being full, the South stand is just a good addition if we can get interest. He and his team are thinking long term and by gaining interest from kids who drag their parents to games it could well be the new season pass holders for 2015.

It would be nice to see a large Leeds following for the first real meaningful game of the season and I honestly think it is going to be a real humdinger of a match. Poore, Langley, Costigan and Weyman all looked well up for the big hits while Adam Walker last year really put himself about too. Add the Leeds big lads like Bailey and Peacock and it will be more like a train wreck than a rugby game!

For the big shots and some classic old school forward play the KC Lightstream (or Craven Park for the traditionalists) Stadium is the place to be on February 16th.

So you have 2 well attended stands, which should mean they sell themselves - no freebies required.
Then you have a brand new stand, which should drum up its own interest as people always like to have a nosey at something new + plus it has the 'I'm the first to sit in it factor', which also has away fan allocation.

I understand the reason behind free school tickets from a public perspective but I also believe stats play a part in it. If he does that against 4 of the big clubs and pulls off big attendances and a derby game thrown in to boot it makes the stats for the season look better when seeking sponsorships and funding from share holders.

Can't disagree with that analysis, we should sell out the East stand and the West stand, I'd hope a couple of thousand Leeds fans in the North stand with the rest made up of sponsors and HKR fans.

Yes free tickets is an easy way to fill a ground but likewise the potential repeat custom and how impressed the new sponsors in the new stand will be could create 10x the value of only part selling the ground out.

Either way a great game, a great atmosphere and the chance to see new signings playing at full tilt should be enough to drum up plenty of support on its own.

The away sections of the North is the 2 sections with the R and O lettering in the seats. So you are looking at around 850 seats for away supporters.

Quick ticketing update taken from the Rovers website. Leeds have almost sold their 1000 allocation for the North Stand and have requested more tickets. These additional tickets will be standing tickets in the West Stand Well.
The Well is also inhabited by Robins and only holds 600 so I would get them bought quick folks before they go.

Don't know where you get your info from but I was categorically told there would be no extra allocation for the Leeds fans. I was lucky enough to get 2 of the 4 remaining tickets this morning at the club shop. When I asked about extra tickets for Leeds fans the member of staff said we wouldn't be getting anymore.

Sorry RBA, just seen the HKR website and it's self explanatory. Contradicts what I was told nonetheless.

No probs. Looks like we are building towards a massive crowd (by our standards) and a cracking atmosphere. Lets hope the game matches it.

If any Leeds fans are wanting to sit then I would just contact Rovers directly and get West Stand seating tickets while they last.

Well I've just rang the ticket office and there is plenty of tickets left for seating behind the posts....

Ive just bought 6 for behind the sticks online.....

I got two of the last four tickets yesterday morning. It would appear Leeds have been given some more tickets from the original HKR allocation. When I asked the staff member who sold me the tickets (face to face) whether we would be getting any more tickets, as my friends might be going, her exact words were, "No that's it , we're not getting any more."
Pretty bad misinformation to say the least.

Very confusing here. I asked if its standing only and she said no we've still got plenty seating ticket left for behind the posts - In a tone that ticketing never has been short or a problem.

Now the Leeds Rhinos Twitter account says : We are just waiting for clarification from @hullkr_online regarding tickets for opening day, will update when we hear back

So what is it, tickets or no tickets?

An update on the Rovers website says that sales have reached 9000 (ground holds 11500). It also says that the North Stand still has seats available so if you arnt getting any joy at the Leeds ticket office I suggest you contact Rovers directly if you want to be in around the bulk of the Leeds support.

Don't think leeds will be taking many, rhinos fans aren't sure where any other grounds are apart from headingley and old Trafford

I bought two tickets for the North Stand from the Rhinos website this afternoon - just saying.

it'll be great to see some big away crowds now the North stands built, it's understandable why fans ddidn't come before when the only option was the Zebrugge Stand, hopefully now that will change.

It is a complete joke , went to ticket office today and they had plenty for down the side of the ground but said they would be getting more tickets for the new stand next week ,

From all other info i have to doubt that is the case , get sorted Leeds this is nothing new from the Rhino ticket office all we want is the correct information

I think the problems have been caused by HKR giving out loads of free tickets to local schools to get the attendance up. I was under the impression that the new stand was for away fans, It seems we have only been allocated 2 or 3 blocks of seats for the game. Its a shame because I bet Leeds could have sold that end out!!

The free tickets are for the south stand. There are about 900 seats allocated to away fans in the new North stand.
Also the West stand well standing area can hold around 600 fans. More than enough for most of the away teams that visit.

The sections R and O are the away fans allocation in the North stand behind the sticks. I think it is still possible to buy North stand tickets off the Hull KR website. The stand has 2 bars in the fully enclosed concourse area behind the seats

The school children have been allocated the South Terrace, the end that everybody moans about. It is part of a sponsorship deal with the school.

The North Stand was never intended as purely an away end. One third of it is allocated to away fans with the remainder to sponsors, general sale and a family section.

Any Leeds fan who wants a ticket will get one, either through your club for the Well or via Rovers for West or North Stand seats.
