I haven't watched all Sts' games by any means, but every time I've seen him I've been distinctly underwhelmed by Gardner.

as a Wigan fan I personally wouldn't touch him with a barge pole

He has had 2 fantastic centres in Lyon and Gidley (who has been poor by his own standards this season), and been spoon fed for years

he looks poor under the high ball, doesnt appear to make many yards on kick returns, but you cant knock his try scoring record, at the end of the day that's what he is there for in the main, but todays winger requires a lot more than being on the end of a flowing move
