If we go with four props I don't see a place for Donaldson unless we have injuries in the backrow.

Donaldson will lead the reserves with distinction. Not sure how many of the others will show the same level of application, mind.

Would imagine Cam Smith would go there before L Sutcliffe. Back row looks his best option but he needs to adapt physically (and mentally).

Admit its only pre-season but your constant wind ups are getting tamer and tamer. Youve got to work harder this time of year to be ready for the season.

Only thing Sutcliffe should be doing at the club is giving out Golden Gambles and even then I wouldn't trust him to collect the money.

I never get the 'up for the fight' comment. We signed someone in your position when you were playing in that position, why do you think that is? Because we don't think you are good enough.

He is only staying because he can't get a gig anything like as good as he has now. He will be gone by the end of the season of not before.

Myler isn't a bad player but not what we need or needed. Wrong man at the wrong time in the wrong place.

I sort of agree but competition for places is a good thing, Myler isn't going anywhere before the start of the season and it's not a bad thing that we have a recent international player competing for a place in the team

If you dont have competition for places you get complacent players. You need competition for places to keep players hungry to get out there and graft.

So the news is out once again that the dragons target Trent Merrin, which will likely happens now. Disappointing really but expected.

So has Trent dropped his price, have the Dragons suddenly got some spare cap, or is this all just again?

I think its rubbish, they were saying this all last season and nothing came about. I'd imagine Leeds will be asking for hefty price since he missed the deadline to leave if they are interested.

There was as been said a timeline for him to get a new deal ,but nevertheless these kind of stories are not ideal

I've said on a few occasions but I think these rumours will surround Merrin until he either goes home or retires at Leeds...

They were around before he arrived then all the way through last year and the start of the off season. We've had a month off from them and they're back again.

Saw something earlier about NQ Cowboys considering releasing Jake Granville to free up some cap for Lattrell Mitchell. Don't watch any NRL but if that was the case, would we be getting a good enough improvement on what we have to justify an overseas spot if we were to look to reinvest Merrin's salary should it come to it?

Showing more patience means getting left behind again.

The season ended over two months ago. We are now well into pre-season. The player and coach in and outs should have been sorted well in advance of pre-season to ensure pre-season training is as effective as possible given the shambolic past few years.

We are nearly in December without an assistant coach, possibly without a captain are still at least 2-3 signings short.

Totally agree. As it stands we don't look good at all. A good settled pre season is absolutely key.
