I think they will be full strength, come out fired up and batter us.

Even if it's the 1.2 million side they put out in the cup a couple of weeks ago it will be far from easy. Bottom line is that a few months ago we travelled to Salford away under BA in a must win game and came away with nothing. Saturdays game, for differing reasons, is not dissimilar. We should have a pretty good idea how much we have progressed by full time.

| There's no way Handley moves out of the centre after just one game.

|
I wouldn’t be surprised if the RFL gave Salford ‘special dispensation’ or some such BS to play their full strength squad because of the BBC nationwide coverage of the first Sts game and the backlash that followed.[/quote:jv19easj]
Looks like the RFL may have a massive problem of their own. They may be ticking a box for diversity they don’t really want to tick with one of their Vice Presidents.

| I personally hope they can play a full strength game, so we can properly gauge where we're at. It'll be a waste of time watching a reserves side get pasted for a second week in a row (and no, I don't mean us!!).
I do wonder whether Powell and Rowley play a more expansive style of rugby that BA just isn't used to, because we also struggled with Salford last year. I wouldn't be surprised if we're better with out compacted line against the sides who play a style more similar to NRL teams.
Hopefully the kick up the backside last week will spur a better performance. JOC being back could give us a real boost too.

| Restrictions lifted, Salford can play the full squad.
Personally i’m glad even if it means facing a better team.

| Leeds don't deserve an easy ride after last weeks performance. If there is no reaction after last week, it will be concerning.

|
It isn’t any of those 3 though is it.
Youve got to admit its all a bit bizarre, a swiss banker and a Rap artist wanting to buy a SL club with no assets that has been losing cash hand over fist, that gets small crowds.[/quote:h0zme10m]
Why people buy companies can be confusing - like why do we have so many barbers - maybe because I am bald I don't understand it?
If the rap artist was bugzy malone I could understand that!!

| I reckon Arthur goes with
1.Connor
2. ECW
3.Newman
4.Handley
5.Hall
6.Croft
7.Frawley
8. Holroyd
9. Ackers
10. Palasia
11. Bentley
12. McDonnell
13. Smith
14. O’Connor
15. Lisone
16. Gannon
17. Jenkins
I personally would have moved Handley to LW and ECW into centres but I think Arthur will persist with Handley at centre which will weaken our edge Defence and Arthur is forced to put Handley back where he belongs.

For players who weren't given a squad number at the beginning of the season, they will give them a squad number the first time they are picked in the matchday squad.

It’s the same reason why Harehills has so many take away food businesses, many of which are completely empty most of the time. Believe me, the exponential growth of barbers shops has absolutely nothing to do with people’s hair growing so much faster nowadays.

| The 17 will be very interesting. I'm guessing Arthur will make relatively few changes - possibly just ECW in the backs, Jenkins and O'Connor into the 17 and Gannon starting. If we lose at Salford he'll have no choice but to make more changes, or we could quickly end up in a situation similar to the last few seasons where we are under pressure on the table from the off and the reserves are less and less ready to step in due to their lack of games.

| I'd expect ECW in for Riley Lumb, Holroyd starting in place of Oledski and Jenkins coming in on the bench for him, with O'Connor replacing Edgell.

| If O’Connor is fit he has to start for me. Ackers was terrible last week. I’d also like to see Gannon start. ECW should get a run but it’s a shame it’s at the expense of lumb. Be interesting to see if he starts Cooper or Holroyd with Mik missing.

| TNW, Edgell and Jack Smith also named in the reserves team, so I'd assume they're dropping out. No real surprises.

| Is Sinfield injured? Croft Frawley and Ackers were woeful last week. None of them deserve a start this week, its not just last week its the whole of the previous season!
Why does ECW not start?

| Sinfield is injured.
Watching Lewis for HKR and Williams at wire and others , open field kicking is so critical to winning the territory battle by pushing teams back.
We need to see better from Frawley , Croft or Connor to try and match Sneyd as it could well be key today.
