I think he will go back but if it gets left much longer we will be left with little in the way of marquee available just dregs nobody else wants.

| As per with Ferres, he hasn’t signed a deal at the club as of yet and I’m told Featherstone are in talks now.

| Surely we must be looking to bring in 2. Agar says we are definitely replacing Peteru but the pack looks light especially if Ferres goes. And we only have one experienced 9.. I'm quite concerned with the pack at the moment

| Singleton out Amor and Leeming would pretty much complete the squad for 2020.

| I like the look of Leeming. I do like Amor but not as a front line prop. Hes an upgrade on Singleton however. We need to get an astute overseas south sea island prop imo someone to give us real punch going forward.

Indeed. If Leeds had a bit more ambition they'd put in a bid for LMS instead.

Sadly it's not as simple as that is it. We have got a squad that needs some work, but we somehow managed to breach the salary cap with a squad that flirted with relegation all season.
It very much suggests we have some overpaid dross contracted to us.
Getting rid of those whilst trying to get new players in, at the right price, is going to be a challenge and take time.

Is a decent set of props, better than what we had last season.
I'd take Amor over Prior to be honest.

Think this proves my point that we need a prop and a hooker that can whack people in the middle of the park. Jeez that line up is weak. Muizz is the only one that can crunch anyone there and hes too small for prop and needs to be looked at as a 13 in the modern game.
We need some aggression thats for sure.
Douggie Laughton used to have a saying of "if youre unsure who to play lock them in a room let them fight and see who comes out with the shirt" Muizz would win it in seconds. The rest would iron the shirt and gift wrap it for him.
We need an aggressive 9 and 10 as priority.
Our halves are far better than 12 months ago, albeit theyve no pace, and if healthy our back row looks better plus Martin's goalkicking is better than we had at the start of the season so we are heading in the right direction.
We look soft tho.

| Understand we are getting a Aus prop forward and a UK number 9 Was told with Petaru leaving this frees up half a Oz player and with Martin currently in PNG getting a PNG passport this will free up the other half. It all sounds so complicated, but was advised this is what is happening. Anyone else heard anything

| It all sounds to be getting dodgy to me. Peteru frees up 0.5 an overseas player? Jesus.
Heres a genuine question. We was over the cap in 2018 by £55k. We added Hurrell and Merrin at £175k each on the cap plus signed Luke Briscoe on peanuts probably admittedly. We upgraded contracts thru the year such as Handley, Newman and Dwyer and also added Ava, Martin, Lui etc to the mix in 2019. Where did we make savings to be under the cap in 2019? I would anticipate there is £650k minimum to save. Im not sure it adds up to me.

| The cap and player contracts are way more complicated than adding and subtracting their salaries, that's why the Director of rugby role will become the norm, managing the cap is a full time job in itself.

Its not the NFL Charlie. It cant be that complicated to warrant a full time role. I agree that the contract situation will become more intricate in the future to fit players under the cap 1 year to allow them to earn more another but it pretty much is as simple as adding their salaries from what i can see.

Ryan Hall, 120k.

Keith Galloway 120k
Kallum Watkins 150k
Brett Delaney 65k
Anthony Mullally 40k

Plus the cap has gone up by 100k a year each year since 2017.
Looks do-able. Not sure we gave Dwyer an increase rather than just an extension. He was struggling to get in the side in 18.

I would say those figures look fairly accurate Ghost tbh and they would balance out if not. Cheers.

Just about perhaps. The LMS suggestion wasn't a serious proposition, just a means of highlighting the sheer ordinariness of Amor. I'm genuinely surprised you rate him.

| Would be very underwhelmed with Amor. Would rather keep Singo to be honest. He looked the real deal back end 2017. Think just suffered along with the rest of the team. No forward looks good when they never get a rest, as we’ve had no last tackle plays .......
